My xbox wireless controller began to lose connection in the middle of playing games. After several minutes, it would automatically reconnect. It started to lose connection more and more frequently, until now, where it won't connect at all. I have also been using the Play and Charge cord, but it will no longer charge the battery pack. The light at the end of the cord no longer lights up red. While connected, the controller just flashes the whole ring in intervals. This is frustrating! Thanks.
Guys, you really need to calm down... I have the same problem like you.
I'll tell you step by step why the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller won't work.
1. The controller will automatically disconnect during the gameplay, and the charging kit won't charge.
Solution: This is true what I'm saying now... Where you guys brought your wireless controllers in the stores, there was a Frequently Asked Questions book inside the kit. It told you about the importance of the charging of your wireless controller, because Microsoft informed that it's VERY important to empty your battery before charging it, because the charging kit will no longer charge your battery, and the same thing happened to me. So, if you have any questions of your wireless controller, then contact me at my gamertag, NussKarte. I'll give you new information how to fix your wireless controller.

I have an issue with my right analog stick. It's stuck going up. As in it's not properly centered.
I'm afraid I've had the same problem and I can shed a little light on it.
I've tried to fix this but to no avail. I have even transplanted the whole analog stick unit with one from a working controller to see if it will work but I have the same problem.
So, my conclusion the problem is not with the stick itself, but with the microcontroller inside the pad which takes the info from the stick.
I took the analog unit out, and plugged the pad into the computer without it , but STILL the vertical axis on the right stick was pushing up even though there was no input from a stick. It seems to be a fault with the pad, not the analog stick.

Xbox controller takes a signifigantly long time to sync to the system. It takes about two minutes for either of my controllers to connect. What can I do to fix this?
If you have a charge cable, connect that before you start the console, and make sure the proper input is on the TV. The cable should allow it to connect faster, though it\'s not always full-proof. I had this issue also (and still sometimes do) I bought a can of air, and cleaned the entire xbox, since dust can be electrically charged it can technically cause interference. (which is pretty unlikely though) then I disconnected all controllers and headsets and re-set their connection with the console. In addition, any receivers, microwaves or cell phones near your control or xbox can disrupt the signal, including metal and other electronic devices. So try as best you can to keep the area clear of those things.
I am sorry it\'s not a perfect answer, but I hope that it helps you somewhat. I know how much of a pain it can be waiting for your controls to connect.
Good Luck

how do you reset an xbox 360 controller that didnt come with the original 360
If it is a wireless controller all you have to do is turn your xbox 360 on and then you press the tiny button on the front of your 360. Then you press the tiny button on your wireless controller. Once they are synced all you have to do next time to connect the controller is hold down the xbox button until it lights up when the 360 is already on.
Let me know if it is something else or if you need further clarification.
Good luck

even when my batteries have plenty of power my controller randomly disconnects and shuts off and when i turn it back on, a few seconds later it'll shut off
same problem, i've been using rechargeable batteries for over a year with this controller and i've never had a problem with them, i have 8 fully charged ones sitting on my desk right now and every one of them is giving me the same double flash problem, my pc is telling me its "lost connection with the controller" but gives no information as to why this may be. this has only been a problem since i've gotten back from uni, before it would occasional not turn on (probably due to the tray being abit loose) but i fixed that with the rebending of the retention spring in the middle of the battery tray, but its still giving me the same problem. it seems to me as if the batteries have nothing to do with the problem, if they were, it wouldn't be turning on at all.

My xbox 360 no longer syncs with the controllers. If I turn on my controller, it will start the 360, but will not sync up with it to one of the 4 ports.
The controllers are fine, batteries are not the issue, and will sync up with other Xbox 360s.
Is there a soldering fix or some internal part that needs to be changed to make my 360 work again?
maybe the only way is take it a part and see if the sync button is not broken some how. therefore i advise you to buy a new controller maybe even a used 1 if you dont want to spend more than $20.

My xbox 360 keeps telling me to reconnect my wireless controller after app. 10 seconds, even though all batteries are new, and on both of my controllers, They also do work on my brothers xbox fine????Luke
it sounds like your controller keeps losing sync with the 360.
- turn them both off
- turn on the 360 with the power button on the console
- wait for it to start up, then press the sync button next to the usb flap on front.
- then press the sync button on the controller (by the recharge connection slot)
That should reset it.

hi, my second xbox controller wont connect, it keeps flashing on and off i've tried to hold the wee button in at the back of the controller but it is still not working. is there anything else i can do? please help :)
Before you press that small button in the back of the controller you must first press a small button located in the front of the xbox. After this is pressed then you may proceed to press the"wee"button you did before.

my left joystick keeps moving things down without me moving it
Sometimes your joystick on xbox controllers can become stuck. To fix this you can do one of two things. you can ether buy a can of air used to clean out computer keyboards and spray it inside the analog stick. Sometimes if that does not work you can also disassemble your controller with a t8 torc screwdriver. Ones disassembled use hot water on and below the analog stick to get rid of unwanted grim. This should fix the problem.
