The unit need service work ad maybe a new belt or other. It would need to be looked at as to why it does not work. There is no easy answer.

Look at Marrs Communications for the belt kit. If you want to measure and subtract 5% you can do that but it might be a lot more trouble.

Kan slijtage aan of een gebroken/gebarsten tandwieltje zijn. In beide gevallen moeilijk te herstellen. Bij goedkope decks kan het ook een gebroken aandrijfriempje zijn.

The unit needs service but may not be worth the cost of the job. Dual cassette decks in all brands are constructed very poorly- that is why I do not own one but have dozens of other good decks that still work after 30 years.

The power supply would have to be examined and the problem may be a burned out regulator or as simple as a thermal broken solder joint. One reason the power supply gives out is due to worn out capstan motors that are drawing too much current- the speed of the deck can give indication of this. There is sometimes noise that comes from DC motors with worn brushes- the brushes get to the point that they wear through and break off0- that is when they make noise. New motors are available.

you need to open it manually.take out the cover of the player by removing the screw.after removing the cover you can now access the deck mechanism.manually push the pin that serves as lock that holds the cassette door gently push it down to free the door.because the decks do not move check the belts for the mechanism make sure the belt is not loosen or worn out and cut off.replace it with a new one if you found it deffective.

make sure also that there is power on the deck motor you can use a tester to measure the voltage on the circuit good luck!

It could be either a worn roller, but more likely a belt problem. It's often a good idea to replace the belt(s) as the are rubber and wear out easily. They are not expensive either. Drive belts on tape decks are mostly universal. You only need to measure the diameter of each belt in mm and then enter the result in Google as "Cassette drive belt ??mm".
Make a note of how it fits before replacing them, that's if you can do it yourself of course!

I have the same tape deck. To do a copy on this machine you first press the normal speed button below synchro dubbing, then hit the pause button on the recording side to start the copy. It will automatically start both decks.

And to stop the recording hit either of the stop buttons.
