All you have to do is use the auto tuning function. Your remote control has a menu button, you can get to the feature via the on-screen menu.

If you press the menu button while the box is on and you see no menu, change your television's input to match what the box's output is.

try taking the batteries out of it, put them back in and try remote then. it may b a faulty remote, universal remotes will work on those boxes

My DTA1050 worked OK. Then, after a period of non use, it would not work stating no signal. The antenna tests OK on a digital TV.These things simply die, and Access has our government money!

Box is broken and can't be fixed.

If you changed the RF out channel setting on the DTV converter and now can't see the output of the converter try changing the channel on the TV set. THe DTV converter boxes are designed to output either RF channel 3 or RF channel 4. If you were on channel 3 and changed the converter output to channel 4, you will have to change the TV channel to channel 4 to see it again.

Check the settings in the menu--many boxes have "power save" mode and will shut off after anywhere from 2-12 hours of inactivity. You should be able disable it or change it to a longer time.
