Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

You probably need to change some settings on the TV. Make sure you push the remote's "ASPECT" button and cycle through those choices. Then you may want to go into the settings and find an auto-adjust. Also, turn off any and all "LETTERBOX" Settings.

It sounds that the white balance adjustment is misaligned. You have to enter its service mode to re-adjust this. If you're sound in electronics, and wish to get more details, check this link. Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.
Without any knowledge in electronics, nobody cant do this adjustment correctly. Enter the service mode, if you're confident.

When you plug in the set, does the standby light come on? Most likely you are dealing with either a failed power supply or main board. I would start with checked the power supply for bulged capacitors.

Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. You can also click the [Home] tab to see the latest updates. It will make search easy. There are more than 1350 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there or make a search by typing in the brand name of the device in the "Search Box", at the top right of the display window.

Its in the menu for the set--on screen and is done with the remote---you want to move to antenna/air.

Even if in cable mode it should pick up any active channels 2-13.

Just unplug your TV from AC mains socket, wait for 15 minutes or so, and then replug it to mains socket and switch on. If this does not help you, do a password reset. If you foget your password just enter '1739' and then change a new one. These two processes don't help you, try an auto retune. this also not helps you, the tuner inside your tv ATSC/NTSC has damaged, and should be replaced. OK.
