Have you checked that the phones 'message centre' number hasnt been altered by mistake? In message settings you should find this. It is common that whilst people stumble on this part of the menu that they accidently remove one or two of the last digits. Your network should be able to confirm the number that should be there if your not sure? Also another possibility in settings is how the sms is sent, one of the settings options lets you change between 'text' 'fax' and few others I cant remember. Ensure it is set to 'TEXT'.
That should solve your problem one way or other.

First, to confirm whether is the flex or virus you need to solve the issue of virus by flashing the phone, after flashing the phone, if it does not respond, then you can now replace the flex of the phone.

Just perform a master reset to your mobile and everything will work fine.
To reset use the Restore Factory defaults menu present in phone settings menu.
