My whirlpool duet steam model # wfw97hexw....it has a sold front cabinet with no access door to clean the filter trap...other machines have an access door near the bottom, mine DOES NOT...so, how do i

I believe you can accomplish this buy going in from back of machine. Be careful of sharp edges, and unplug power. Remove rear panel screws top, bottom, side and side ,you may need to remove hoses. When your in, the pump is at front, and sits on rubber mounts that slide into their metal housings. You will need to disconnect hoses on each side and push the pump forward or backward you will see this when your in there. Remove pump, unscrew filter, check inside impeller area, and check both hoses each way. You would be surprised what kind of stuff gets through. GOOD LUK FRIEND.

My whirlpool steam duet washer won't pour water in the wash cycle

There is no output from the control panel to switch on the inlet valve, so check the inlet valve at this time of the cycle. Also check the water level pressure sensor switch.Choose another program to confirm if not the controller seems to be suspect.

I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL DUET STEAM MODEL WFW 9600 TW01. I GET A FLASHING 'SUD' AND THEN CODE E 51. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? WHAT PART NUMBER DO I NEED? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Pull out your washer and look on the back for a plastic sleeve with paper in it. Often these papers are materials for the repair person. If you are lucky they are what you need to solve the e51 mystery.

What does it mean when my duet washer flashes F20?

F20 is a No Water Detect error.
It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following:

* If you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:
- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.

* If you HAVE water filling the wash tub, check the following:
- Make sure you don't have a siphoning problem. Click the following link for instructions: Duet_Service_F20_error

Hope helps.

Error code 8 bush washing

Hi.

Bush Error code 8 is overflow.

First try disconnecting power alone for five minutes. Trip the circuit breaker or unplug power cord.

If no luck, disconnect power and check the drain filter. On most models the drain filter is accessed removing the panel at the base of the appliance, in front at the right hand side. Keep a container ready to collect the water from drain line. Make sure no water is remaining in the machine before reconnecting power.

If the error comes back after re-connecting power and running a cycle, check the drain hose at the back. Make sure that the hose is not kinked and check height and setting of the hose. Height and settings must correspond to specifications on user/installation manual, or you get siphoning with water flowing back from drain hose. Siphoning triggers overflow error.

If the drain hose is OK and the above is not fixing the problem, then there is an internal fault. Usually a defective pressure switch or a leaking inlet valve can trigger overflow error. At this point the machine will need proper repair. Call the number listed on the user manual to verify warranty status and to get in touch with an authorized technician.

First try the complete troubleshooting above. Sometimes even a power reset can do the job.

Regards.

After starting the washer I get Code SUD then it

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

The "SUDS" or "SUD" error can be caused by too much detergent, improper detergent, drain pump/drain line problem, or pressure switch malfunction.

1. If you are not using HE detergent, you need to be. These washers are designed to use HE detergent which is formulated for wash tubs that use 5 to 7 gallons of water. If you use regular detergent, you are, in affect, placing a higher concentration of detergent in the washer that is normally formulated for wash tubs that have a 35 gallon capacity. The manufacturer should have a disclaimer in the owner's manual explaining this. In most cases this will also void your warranty. NOTE: Prolonged use of the wrong detergent can damage the drain pump components and or wash tub seals.

If you are using the correct detergent, double check the label to make sure it is not double (2X) or triple (3X) concentrated. You could still be placing too much soap in your wash.

To get rid of excessive detergent, place the washer on a RINSE & SPIN cycle, then run it through a normal wash cycle with NO detergent added. You may have to repeat these steps depending on the amount of detergent used.

2. If you do not have a detergent issue, double check the drain pump and drain lines to ensure they are not obstructed in any way. Click on the following link for step-by-step instructions:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385844-checking_drain_pump_kenmore_elite_front

Obstructions in the drain pump and/or drain lines can attribute to air getting trapped in the drain pump and cause the error code. Double check all electrical connections to the drain pump and Central Control Unit (CCU). You will need to remove the top panel of the washer to access the CCU. This is accomplished by removing the three screws in the back of the washer that hold the top panel in place. With the screws removed, slide the panel back, then off. The CCU is located directly behind the wash tub in the center of the washer. The Drain Pump connector will be the 6th connector (facing from the front L to R) in the center of the CCU.

3. Check the Pressure Switch to ensure it is good. The Pressure Switch is located to the right of the CCU as you are looking from the front. It is a small cylindrical shaped device with a connector plug and an air hose attached. The switch can be checked at several water levels by removing the plug and taking resistance readings at the connector pins. Readings are as follows:

(Pins are numbered R to L facing the from the REAR)

Pins 1 to 2 (SUDS Detect) - 0 ohms
Pins 3 to 4 (Overflow) - 0 ohms
Pins 4 to 5 (L1) - 0 ohms
Pins 4 to 6 (Empty) - 0 ohms
