Shut it down reboot it's saying that one of the cameras is not functioning correctly if this don't solve it then check all power supply's to each camera

For something this "Mission Critical" I wouldn't muck around and i would contact Swann Communication, http://www.swannsecurity.com/ and ask them for their expert advice.
If your system responds to normal batch commands, then press and hold the CTRL key, and tap the C key, this should issue a CTRL - Break, command and terminate any batch processes, and hopefully shut down that process, else, try simply resetting the unit, or turn it OFF, and continuing on after the reset, turn On, reboot, and then go to those locations. and look for those dates

hi have the same issue found it to be red power black negative yellow video white audio and bare wire is the shared ground for the yellow and white hope this helps

You probably just need to connect the USB port to your PC to transfer the video.  But you will need some DVD burning software as well as a DVD burner to be able to create a DVD of incidents.
You might also be able to save videos onto your PC through the network connection rather than using a USB cable, but I am not familiar enough with the product to know if it supports that.

Press the “Menu” button and use the Up or Downbutton until “Motion” is highlighted then press the “Enter” button. Use the Up or Down button to highlight the “OFF” next to “MOTION RECORD” and press the + or -button until “ON” is shown. Use theUp or Down button to Highlight the (MENU) then camera you wish to enable, then use the Left or Right button to highlight the “OFF” next to that camera and press the + and - keys to adjust the setting to “ON”. Use the Right key to highlight “AREA” next to the camera you wish to enable, and press the “Enter” button. Press the - button to turn on Motion Detection for the whole screen as shown by a green overlay, then do the same for your other active cameras.

Try and take down the firewall. Then try remote access.
If that does not work . check the port forwarding settings on your router .

Go to menue ---> System ---> Clear HDD and make sure "yes" is selected and hit enter.

Could you give me a model #? Did the Dvr record 24 hours on that ch before or is this Dvr a new installation?

try swappig the power supplys around from one that u know does still work , also ck your wires , if any run outside even for a little bit insects and animals can nibble I\on wires(they love the taste of em) and ruin cables then I\using a spare camera go to each location and swap that around have helper to look for picture

check the fuse in the wall plug, check the power outlet

If the camera has IRs and there is not enough light it will go into black and white. Check the settings in the camera menu! If those are correct and you have good voltage it may be the camera is bad. If there is plenty of light and it is still in black and white it's a bad camera and needs to be replace

Please give the Model no. of the Camera. generally if it is an IP Camera it can be connected with a CAT5 Cable to a computer. If it is a non-IP Camera it can be connected with a Coax Cable to a Monitor.

If you checked all cable connections and made sure you monitor is set to the right input and working properly, if the dvr has multiple outputs try them all first. If none of that works it maybe the the video card on your unit is bad and may need replaced. Swann dvrs typically only last a couple years because the are garbage.
