Maytag centenial dryer (med5770tq0) has no power,

Be sure you are getting correct voltage to dryer's terminal block. Sounds like a power supply issue.

Dryer stooped in mid cycle and now will not start

Electric dryer no start does nothing Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. CHECK THERMAL SHUT OFF THERMOSTAT USUALLY LOCATED ON THE BLOWER. for OHMS or resistance with a meter. Should show a closed circuit. Ohms WHEN THIS FUSE BLOWS IT WILL SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING. NEXT Test the PUSH start switch with meter for OHMS. Should show OHMS when pushed in or on start, and no ohms or infinity when in off position. If you hear a humming/clicking sound from motor area you more than likely have a bad motor. Try this test out to see if u have weak windings or relay/capacitor on motor. Open the dryer door and turn by hand the drum while machine is on ON position. And you or someone else presses the door engagement switch in. If it starts up then u have bad windings Another thing to check is the belt safety switch. With a multi meter. Especially if u just replaced the belt. The belt safety switch is attached to the Tensioner and motor. IT LOOKS LIKE A DOOR SWITCH SOMEWHAT a little black pc of plastic with 2 prongs going into it. Sits at bottom of motor. Under the Tensioner. Attach meter clips to the 2 prongs on switch, Then when the little white push button is pressed in it should show continuity and none when released. Lastly check ur DOOR SWITCH for continuity with a meter when the button is pushed in the (on/Door closed position,) it may have gone bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTRP6kHqAFs Hey GOD IS GOOD !!!! Our Maytag Centennial Electric dryer is not cycling in auto dry mode but will in timer mode. Any thoughts?

There is a sensor that the clothes have to touch when the drum spins. This sensor measures how wet the clothes are. If you don't have enough of a load in the dryer then the sensor wont detect the dryness. Or it could be a bad sensor or connection or main board.

Drum wont turn.pust start and hear a buzz but drun

I have found that the switch activated by the door close or turns on the interior light when open on is likely the problem. You may notice that if the door is open and you push the start button, it will buzz. So if the door is closed and you get this buzz when pushing the start button, there is a problem with the door switch. The start button "thinks" the door is open, and therefore not start. The defective door switch needs to be replaced. At least highly likely.

Does the maytag dryer have a reset button. The dryer was working fine then just stopped turning on.

No, they typically don't have a reset button. But they do have safety switches which can fail. Usually there is a microswitch on the door. When the door is open the dryer won't start. Do you have power at all to the dryer? Do any lights light up? If not, you may have tripped your circuit breaker to the dryer and need to reset them. Typically there will be two breaker switches tied together to move as one in your power panel for your house or apartment. If you are not sure the breaker has tripped, it won't hurt anything to switch them off and then back on again. If this does not help, you likely have a failed switch or relay in the dryer that will need to be replaced. Also check that your lint trap does not have a switch which will prevent to dryer from running if you have too much lint in it.

How do you adjust the moisture sensor?

The moisture bars are not adjustable in dryers, it is required they be cleaned with rubbing alcohol followed with a rubber eraser, mainly if dryer sheets are used regularly. Loads that are too small for the capacity of the dryer will also cause the dryer to shut off too soon leaving the load still damp, in cases of that, a "more dry" setting should be used.
