I had to uninstall the trial version and reinstall the original since there is no help on trial versions with MS.

remove your office through add/remove software in conrol panel. then install the ms office 2007 again.

Have you by any chance installed a new printer lately? I had this same issue with a new HP printer. Once I unistalled that printer, the problem stopped.

-Run regedit.exe from the command line (regedit.exe)
-Go to and delete the following: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data

To backup the data files, in OE go to Tools > Options > Maintenance > Data Folder. Copy down the location of folder. Navigate to folder and backup Also do a search for and back up <user>.wab file. This is your contacts files. You need to unhide hidden files to see this file and above folder. In Windows XP, open Windows Explorer or any folder. Click on Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders". If you want to see system files as well, unclick Hide protected operating system files. Click OK. OR DBX Viewer Tool found on reader .dbx files, and it can help almost managed to scratch out all the messages from the file! Then save them as separate files, and then put back into OE. Call Microsoft tech support. On the phone they can verify your product from the codes inside the working program. They can email you your product key. You will need to have your computer running and software OPEN and ready to listen for instructions.

All what u need to do are:

1. copy the whole content of the cd to desktop
2. open run type regedit
3. go to local machine>software
4. find the file named office and delete it
5. reinstall office from desktop and make sure that the office cd still in ur optic drive
6. when the pop-up said office cannot ...........appeared select the file from ur cd/dvd drive...solved
