That is a decent amp but I believe the cost is going to be more than the amp is worth at the moment. There are variety of amps in that power range that are inexpensive. I would recommend that you look on either craigslist.org and or ebay. I have picked up several amps from ebay that has cured my needs!

Something to consider: Unless you fried a circuit in the amp, and have seen the smoke or have had that smell of something burning, take the amp out and take a blow dryer to it and let it sit out for couple of nights. Then reconnect it to your system and see what it does. From that point on perhaps you need to decide if buying a different amp is the way to go?

check ur ground poss bad ground area take test light to pos side of amp to see if u have power

Most amps need a turn on signal form the head unit to turn on. One of the pins needs to see 12V

Did it stopped working ?
check your main fuse line under the hood ?
you should have one ! replace it ?
know if it works fine out what ohms is your amp best plays at!
and connect the correct woofer ohms ..
for that power at the most two 8 inch woofers or one 12 ich thats pushing it!

That amp seems to support 2ohm and 4 ohm loads. You cannot get down to 2ohms with 2 8ohm loads (subs). So, you need to wire them in parallel so that the load is divided among the resistance of their voice coils (2 8ohm paths means the driving circuitry (amp) experiences 4ohms of resistance because ... physics, basically). Wire the + and - terminals of the subs together and attach them at the amps + and - speaker output terminals. DO NOT run them in series. 2 8ohm loads in a row means the amp sees the loads added together, 16ohm. And its not rated for that, you could blow the amp by making try to drive a load that is too 'heavy' for it. the turn the amp gain all the way down, turn the head unit up until you hear the normal sprakers start to distort (that f@rty worbbly muddy sound), then turn the volume back until it goes away and the full fidelity (faithfulness to the input signal) returns. Then turn the amp gain up until the subs distort, and back a touch until they stop. Turn the system back down at the head unit. Your system is now balanced to the maximum volume it can reproduce, adjust to taste from there. And remember to thump responsibly.

I looked up the specs for the amplifier

• 4 ohms: 85 watts x 2 channels
• 2 ohms: 125 watts x 2 channels

So it will take 2 ohm speaker loads, therefore you can parallel 2 speakers together, that is to say connect 2 speakers to the + and - terminals of the left channel and 2 to the right. 4 ohms paralleled with 4 ohms = 2 ohms So you are OK

Take the peak to peak power rating and multiply it by .727 that should be the RMS watts. You don't have to worry too much about new stuff, but if you are using an older stereo amplifier that is rated for 8 ohm speakers then you should not use 4 ohm or they will pop the finals in the amp. You could use 2X 4 ohm speakers in series on every channel and it should be ok.

the amp probably got to hot and had a thermal shut down witch will have to be fixed by a professional.
