The CD is "dirty". Trust Kaspersky and do not try to use it. Possibly Mad Dog is not aware of the problem. I have encountered this problem before with other seller-supplied software.

Depending on which version of windows you are using, you might need to install the drivers for the device.

I know XP and older versions have a mush smaller internal driver database than windows vista or windows 7.

You don't necessarily need to install software to operate the device, just need the driver installed, then your computer will recognize the device.

Hope this can help you.

Kind regards

It doesn't require a driver. The Windows OS will detect/auto-install the drive. Check in My Computer to see if it's listed there.

ok i am not positive but it sounds like you need to format the disks first i would try that.

Hi. Sounds like you have a Virus. Do a Full Virus Scan not just the Quick one. It should help.

the fault seems more or less like a software problem. I would advice you to install a firmware of your Mad Dog MD-16XDVD9. This will help to put the unit back to order.

You can download the firmware of your player from the below link. Read information on the page before you proceed for the firmware upgrade. Scroll down the page for the firmware download.

Good luck.

Try connecting the USB device to a different USB port on the same computer, or to a USB port on a different computer, to confirm that the USB device itself is working correctly.

Turn the computer off and find a large paper clip. straighten the clip and there should be a very small hole below the drive tray. Push the clip into the hole and it will manually open the door.

Mad Dog... | Answered on Mar 08, 2010

You need to get a straightened paper clip, or similar stiff wire, locate the small hole in front draw of DVD, insert wire and push gently in, until you feel/hear a click, keep pushing and the draw will pop open.
