Check the drain tube between the evaporator side to the back of the unit. It may have a packing plug installed. If there is one remove it or clean the drain tube.

I tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my ford explorer. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work. You might be blessed. Try to get down under the machine, like in the back, and see if you can see the compressor. Compressor is roughly the size of a cantaloupe. If so, first clean that area well. Then, look for a pair of parts that are attached to the compressor about the size of your fist. This should be a pair of electrical switches, one of which is called a "Klix-on". With your machine plugged in and turned on, most carefully tap that Klix-on with a hammer a few times and see if the compressor starts. If it does, replace it. I bought one here in Orlando for less than $40. God bless your efforts.
