I have a Emerson 32inch and the power won't work and a flashling volume button.Dont know what to do
OK..I'm kinda confused with this question. How old is your TV ??
I went to the Amazon Web, I looked at Emerson TV..all flat screen, (that seems to be all that is sold these days)...but all the TV's I saw, have various RCA, HDMI, Ethernet, mini-jack, and USB input...some of these are outputs like my audio outputs I use for my Bose system, for the large rich sound coming from the entertainment center. Everything is on the backside unless you are talking about a TV mounted on the wall, and you don't have access to the backside, cause it ain't your TV to be messing with..

MY EMERSON TV SAYS THAT IT CANNOT ACCESS PC MODE AT THIS MOMENT.
dOES IT NEED TO BE UPDATED OR UPGRADED
Did it previously access your PC?
There may be compatibility issues.
Use the menu button on the Emerson TV to select a new "source." Choose "VGA" input, then confirm that by pressing the OK button (normally the volume+ button on most televisions). The television should immediately switch to display the computer's output. https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-connect-a-computer-to-an-emerson-tv
All this assumes you are connecting through a VGA cabling connection. However, an alternative is to connect the TV and computer with a specialty cable called a VGA to HDMI cable which may be acquired at Radio Shack. This is assuming your computer has an HDMI port. The cable is NOT inexpensive.
As you are attempting to use a TV as a computer monitor, you may have to adjust screen resolution on the TV to match that of the output of the computer. You would have to go through the TV menu settings to adjust screen resolution.
As you have not identified the model of the TV nor the OS of the computer, it is difficult to predict your success. There might even be an issue of graphics card compatibility. I can't say if this is an upgrade issue as I have no information identifying the models of the hardware you are using nor if you had prior success with a connection. But the information I've provided seems to be the most likely to offer you some success in a connection. You can try to find out if there is a firmware upgrade for the Emerson by chasing the support for your particular model of Emerson TV on Emerson's own page. You can also identify your graphics card via freeware utilities. That info might be helpful to a support tech.
