How do you get the light bulb out of the hood?
there is a tool (suction cup) that dacor provides with unit or you can order the "kit" online for $30. i used some gloves with latex coating on palms to get "decent grip" to spin it out. that stainless stell rim actually pops out on my ventilation hood....it is similar to recessed lighting baffles...spring loaded....it may give you a bit more room to manuever your fingers.
Took off trim around lightbulb
Place the circle of the springs on the two small post that are in the center piece of the trim that heads into the hood, make sure that the two legs of the springs are to the outside of the post. The small legs should lay against outside the center piece. The larger legs should be angled downward. Look in the hood and you should see a piece of metal with a central vertical opening on each side. Take the trim piece with the springs attached and lift the wings of the springs so that they enter the slits. The important part is that the small legs of the springs must be placed against the outside surtace of the hood. As you push the trim piece in the hood the wings of the spring will be forced down through the slits by the pressure of the small legs of the spring against the exterior of the surface of the hood. This pressure will keep the trim piece in place. It may help to remove the filters so that you can see inside of the hood. Make sure that the small legs of the spring are against the outside surface of the hood or there will not be any resistance to create pressure by the springs.
What if you don't have the suction cup/light
i used two thin strips of metal shaped on the ends like the bulb i was putting in ,i tied these together with a rubber band and then applied finger pressure up by the bulb ,it came out ,but is a terrible design

Hot change out the hood
Hi,
Place the circle of the springs on the two small post that are in the
center piece of the trim that heads into the hood, make sure that the
two legs of the springs are to the outside of the post. The small legs
should lay against outside the center piece. The larger legs should be
angled downward. Look in the hood and you should see a piece of metal
with a central vertical opening on each side. Take the trim piece with
the springs attached and lift the wings of the springs so that they
enter the slits. The important part is that the small legs of the
springs must be placed against the outside surtace of the hood. As you
push the trim piece in the hood the wings of the spring will be forced
down through the slits by the pressure of the small legs of the spring
against the exterior of the surface of the hood. This pressure will
keep the trim piece in place. It may help to remove the filters so that
you can see inside of the hood. Make sure that the small legs of the
spring are against the outside surface of the hood or there will not be
any resistance to create pressure by the springs.
Good Luck!!
Thanks!!

Dacor cooktop - one of the burners' igniter does not spark. Need to investigate what's wrong but do not know how to gain access
To access the spark module and switches underneath the spill tray of your Dacor cooktop, you may need to remove the burner and base assemblies. Here are the steps you can follow:
- Turn off the power to the cooktop by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker.
- Remove the grates, burner caps, and burner bases from the cooktop. Depending on the model of your Dacor cooktop, you may need to use a screwdriver or wrench to remove the screws or bolts that hold the burner bases in place.
- Carefully lift the spill tray out of the cooktop. If it seems to be stuck, check for any screws or bolts that might be holding it in place and remove them.
- Once the spill tray is removed, you should be able to access the switches and spark module underneath. Check for any loose connections or damaged components that may be causing the igniter to malfunction.
- If necessary, replace the faulty component or components. You can find replacement parts for your Dacor cooktop online or at a local appliance store.
- Reassemble the cooktop in reverse order, making sure all the components are properly aligned and securely fastened.
- Turn on the power and test the burner to ensure that the igniter is working properly.
Note: If you are not comfortable working with gas appliances or if you are unsure about any of the steps, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a qualified technician.
