Hi Normally the cap end which does not have the push button switch will unscrew. Then you can push the 4 lights and 3 battery housing out from inside the tube..BUT, mine are about 5 years old and would not slide out. I had to take a round blunt punch and hammer the housing through, out as the batteries were corroded inside aluminum and hanging on. It took a few wacks but did slide out. With a little care sanding the corrosion inside of the tube and battery contacts it went back together and still works.

It goes into sleep mode after inactivity; say you're watching a video or the like.. go to Settings, under Display to modify the sleep time.

If your carrier use the GSM cell phone system then you need a SIM card, call them.

It entirely depends on your broardband speed and wifi connection, but it should do, unless its going through a vpn, which you may have to install some extra firmware
