GAS dryer will operate, but not heat. No error codes showing

If not heating at all try this. Go to electrical panel box and find the breaker labeled Dryer. It should have 2 joined together levers. Turn it off and see that the dryer is OFF (this verifies you have the right one) Operate this breaker back and forth (on and off) at least ten times. Then put it in the ON position and try dryer again. If it works you have a bad (intermittent) circuit breaker. Get an electrical handyman to change the breaker. If changing the breaker does not fix it you may need an appliance repair person. Why this is. The cycling on and off of the heat at the dryer is rough on circuit breakers. If this dryer has been in place for some years and replaced another dryer it is probable that the circuit breaker was not changed. BTW the dryer functions (except heat) operate from one side of that 2 sided breaker, while the HEAT operates from both sides at HIGH current.

Frigidaire electric dryer. 1.5 years

Hello
Is it a pleasant sounding hum, like the sound of a motor running? If so , probably your belt broke. If that hum goes on and on for several minutes, it's definitely belt. Bad motor or start relay, would cut out quickly. Either way ,youv'e got to pull out machine and pull off back to inspect.

Fridigaire dryer GLEQ642AS2 running but not

There can be many reasons that a dryer doesn't heat up. To adequately isolate the problem you'll need to do a little electrical sleuthing.
Check the resistance of the dryer heating element, you'll need to borrow an ohm meter for that.
Verify that there is adequate ventilation for the dryer. If the dryer vent is plugged it may prevent the heating element from functioning properly.
There can also be a problem with the timer switch; if the timer isn't turning the heating element on, you won't get heat.

How do i change out

Remove the top of the dryer by unsrewing the two phillips head connections at the rear.
Remove the four phillips head screws located near the top at the interior of the cabinet, two on either side which will release the front door and face.
Unclip the two electrical connections at the top right to the control panel. These are preformed plastic connectors
Undo the three electrical connections from the door switch. These are individual wires with "bayonet" connections. Write down order and placement for reinstallation.
Undo the two individual wire connections for the interior drum light which are also bayonet style connections. Write down order for reinstallation.
The door and face will now be free for servicing the felts.

Hi

When the dryer wont turn on the issue is with the Thermal fuse which is located on the back cover panel to the exhaust duct. Before replacing it you can test continuity and check to make sure that the power is getting to the unit. Hope this help...please let me know if you require further assistance.

This is a very common problem with these dryers. The back bearing wears out fast. It's part no. 12 in this diagram. You have to remove front panels, top, and lift drum up and out to release from bearing. Hope this helps,

Dryer has power. When the start switch is turned,

Sounds like start winding inside the motor, or a start switch attached to the motor itself.
