Frigidaire electric dryer model gleq2152es1 lights wont turn on and wont do anything
Hi ana piedranayari05, this is AP! Thank you for your post
I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire electric dryer not turning on. Make sure the dryer is still plugged into the outlet, and plugged in correctly. Also check to see if the house fuse is blown or circuit breaker tripped? If so, Replace fuse or re-set circuit breaker. Check to make sure that electrical circuit is not overloaded and correct. The dryer must be on a circuit by itself. Overloaded circuits can damage the dryer and possibly cause damage to home. Have a licensed electrician check to make sure it is on a circuit by itself. Additionally, the thermal limiter could have tripped or possibly an internal problem with the dryer. A thermal limiter automatically turns off the motor in the unlikely event of an overheated situation. A service technician must replace the thermal limiter after correcting the fault. If you have check the plug, fuses, and circuit breaker and still no power I would recommend contacting a local technician to diagnose and service your electric dryer.

Hello Rick, this is Z. Thank you for your post!
I understand your gas dryer spins but it is not heating. It sounds like your dryer may possibly have faulty fuse(s), gas supply or ingitor. Generally speaking, the fuses are located on the heater housing and the other near the blower housing. Typically, both thermal fuses are closed circuits. One will prevent the dryer from coming on and the other will prevent the motor from turning. However, regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. Generally, qualified technicians often perform these complicated parts replacements. I would personally suggest reaching out to a professional to accurately assist with the repair of the part(s).
Replace fuse
I looked up your machine on repair clinic and it has a thermistor instead of a old school control T-stat. That might well be the problem.
Control might not have any idea what the temp is inside the drum or it could be off a hair. Not sure exactly how it works. The old school way without electronics was nice. This new stuff is crappy. If you need further help, reach me via phone at

All lights on panel blinking
Good Afternoon cherios, thank you for your post!
I understand your Frigidaire dryer is inoperable. Let's try resetting your dryer by either flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position or unplugging the unit. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the dryer back on. If the error code continues to display, then the appliance could possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the control board, potential wiring failure, faulty power supply, house wiring, door lock assembly or damaged cord. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair your dryer.
Best regards! - Chris
Turn table stops turning, then motor shuts off
George A Faria,
I understand that the turntable stops turning and then the motor shuts off. I also see that you're stating the appliance works fine without the belt on it. My suggestion would be not to run the dryer without the belt. This can cause wear on the motor itself. What I would suggest is to put the belt back on. If it still stops turning and the motor is shutting off, I suggest contacting either the manufacturer or a local authorized technician. This way the root of the issue will be found and your dryer will last longer.
-Best Regards-
ERROR CODE E68
Good Afternoon Robert, I am happy to assist you!
Typically error code E68 can indicate one or two issues. First problem could be that one of the keys of your dryer (buttons) is stuck closed (active). Enter "Function Test Mode" and perform Key Test to determine which button is at fault. To perform the "Function Test Mode": Press and hold the START and CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The stuck key should blink.Carefully free the key and perform the test again. If button is free but the error code still exists, the electronic control will more than likely need replacing. Second issue could possibly be a current leakage to ground on heater or fuse opened. However, I would strongly suggest contacting a professional to the check the resistance of the heating element (should be approximately 14ohms) or the resistance between the ground and both heater terminals. It should be open when heater terminals are disconnected. If the readings are incorrect, the heating element may be faulty.
Drum sparking
Hi Keith, I am happy to assist you!
From what you have described it sounds like the heater on your Frigidaire dryer may possibly be loose. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to proceed further.
