Frigidaire FAC084N7A Air Conditioner - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Ac unit keeps resetting
Good Morning Friend,
I understand that your Frigidaire air conditioner keeps resetting itself. First, be sure the electrical service is adequate for the model you have chosen. This information can be found on the serial plate, which is located on the side of the cabinet and behind the grille. Secondly, be sure the air conditioner is properly grounded. To minimize shock and fire hazards, proper grounding is important. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards. Lastly, your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

My fan wonT shut off
Good Morning Judy,
I understand that the fan will not shut off on your Frigidaire air conditioning and heat, air conditioner, model# LRA18HMT2, even when you have turned your appliance completely off. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit break, for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, turn your air conditioner to any cycle and let it run for 5 minutes before turning it off. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your air conditioner status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

I have a frigidaire fac105p1a that is spiting water out though the vents what do i do about that?
Good Morning Friend,
I understand that you have water spitting out of the top vent on your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC105P1A. I also see that it sounds like water is gurgling through the pipes and you want to know how to fix it. If your air conditioner is also leaking outside, this is normal during excessively humid days, due to it removing large quantities of moisture from a humid room. If it is also dripping inside, I suggest slightly tilting your air conditioner to the outside, to allow water drainage. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your air conditioner status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

MYF AN WILL NOT SHUT OFF EVEN WHEN UNIT IS OFF
The ON/OFF switch is broke and stuck to the ON position. Does it cycle on and off for cooling with the thermostat? If yes, replace just the ON/OFF switch. If it is stuck on cooling 100 % of the time, replace the thermostat and the ON/OFF switch. The thermostat is a temperature controlled ON/OFF switch.
F6 error code on Frigidaire split unit ac, model FSC12CM6J/FSE12CM6J. Solution says to check fuse? Where is this located?
It seems like the indoor fan is not running. Quite a few split systems have a fuse on the indoor board. It will require stripping off the outer cover of the indoor unit and removal of the electronic box cover. The indoor board is in there. The fuse may be replaceable or it may be a type that is soldered on which makes it virtually non replaceable. ( A new indoor board will be required) Make sure all power is turned off or disconnected before you do anything. Another possibility is the fan motor start capacitor has failed. Try this first before stripping the unit. When the unit is turned on and the outdoor unit has started, give the indoor fan barrel a flick with your finger to start it spinning, if it keeps spinning and the error doesn't appear, it would indicate that the fan motor start capacitor has failed. The capacitors on indoor units are normally small black square boxes with 2 terminals on it. These capacitors are mounted inside or close to where the indoor electronic box is. Again, make sure all power is disconnected or turned off at the meter box before you do any disassembly.
