I have a 15

Approximately 3/4 gain.
You want to turn the gain up to the point of clipping - then back it down a hair.
Without getting too technical - this is good rule of thumb.

No sound

Can you physically move the cone or is it siezed? hook up a wire to its + and - and then do a pop test using a 9volt battery + to + and - to - on the battery if it doesn't make a sound then the woofer is blown, if it does pop then the problem lies within your amp.

My subwoofer doesnt work

you mean that the SUBWOOFERS connected to the amp cuts off and come back on randomly?? did you bring the SUBS level to a high volume ? i suggest to check first the value of the speaker (ex. 4 , 8 , 16 ohms ) matches the same value with the amp . second , hows the subs connected , in series ? or parallel . you will need a multimeter for this task .

Wire to cone connection

try using quick setting epoxy glue. just put pressure on the same spot while holding the epoxy with an old spoon lined with clear plastic wrap. after epoxy sets, remove the spoon and trim away the plastic film with a new razor blade. to be sure the connection is being made, turn sound on just so you can barely hear it before performing this so that the cone vibrations do not interfere with the setting epoxy.

What color light indicates power on the MTX 810D amplifier please?

It is too old for online manuals. Any colour light would show it has power and usually a red, green or blue LED. Red is sometimes reserved as a fault condition in conjunction with another power light. https://www.google.com/search?q=mtx+810d+amplifier+manual https://www.google.com/search?q=mtx+810d+amplifier ..

I have a mtx tunder series 942 when you hook it up the red light comes on I have the best wire and have checked everything the amp is old school it does have a fuse on it I have one on my power line pls help!!!!!

I was having a similar issue. I checked every wire from the battery to stereo to amp, checked the ground, pulled the stereo to double check the wiring was all correct. Everything seemed good so I thought it had to be my battery not putting out enough power. Tested it and it was good. What it turned out to be was the connection from the power cord to the battery. It had a tiny bit of built up corrosion that was making the amp go into protect mode. Cleaned it up and hooked it back up and has been golden since.
The link attached is pretty straight up on what you need to check for different circumstances. I'm guessing it's a low voltage issue. Good luck
