I have a euro pro shark sewing machine. I just changed the thread for another project and cannot get the needle to pick up the bobbin thread. Any ideas?

Try installing a brand new needle. Bent/damaged needles will sometimes not pick up the bobbin thread. Make sure the machine is threaded correctly. Check the bobbin--ie, it is turning the correct direction in the bobbin case and is threaded properly through the bobbin tension. You might also try pulling the bobbin thread up to the top before beginning to stitch. How and Why to Bring up the Bobbin Thread ...

I need the manual instru tions for euro-pro x 420

Here's a manual: Euro Pro 420 Instruction Manual Troubleshooting is on page 62. P.S.--it is usually a good idea to always raise the presser foot when threading the upper thread. That helps seat the thread in the tension disk. Also, change the needle often (ie, every time a new project is begun or whenever it is damaged/bent/dull. ...

How to setup tention

Set the tension dial to the midway point between high & low number. (This is the factory standard. ) Then test on pieces of scrap fabric from your project. The tension is correct when both upper and bobbin threads meet in the middle of the fabric. If the upper thread shows under the fabric, it is too loose. If the bobbin thread shows on the top of the fabric, the tension is too tight. You'll probably need to tweak the tension to get it where it should be. Tension is not static and depends greatly on the needle/thread/fabric you are using. User should get comfortable with adjusting it every time a new project is begun. ... ...

Euro-Pro sewing machine model9130H needle moves sideways and thread clogs up when starting to sew

Be sure to install a brand new needle. If the needle bar is moving to the side when set on a straight-stitch, there is probably something loose or bent in the machine. Would recommend having it checked by a technician. Could also be the cause of the thread clumping or could be something else going on. ...

How do you remove the faceplate on a euro pro 376

Some machines (computerized models) are made so that the outer covers cannot be removed. Are you able to remove the side cover over the needle bar? You may be able to find the problem there. Otherwise, you may need to have service performed. The thread could be hanging up in the tension guides--most likely pieces of thread. You might try cleaning the tension guides. RAISE the presser foot, loosen the upper tension as much as possible. Then gently pull a length of unwaxed dental floss through the tension mechanism a few times. If that doesn't work, there may be something really stuck that needs a technician to resolve. Just FYI--ALWAYS raise the presser foot before threading the upper thread. This releases the tension disks so the thread will seat properly.
