So the remote that came with the TV was the RC-1077E?The only way you can get into the options you mentioned now is that you are going to have to use the buttons on the TV itself.They can be on any 1 of the four sides.I have seen them everywhere.We have to do the same with our JVC.They are pretty much the same button options as the original remote.Menu,volume,channel etc. Good luck! If the batteries have leaked and the chemicals are inside the remote, get a new one.
If the connections are corroded very bad, get a new remote.
If the connections are a bit corroded, they can be cleaned with a Q-tip and 99% alcohol. Clean the contact face with emery cloth (Fine).
If the remote still does not work, get a new one.

If this is A US model, please provice your URC model number for your remote or look on One-for-all website.

Always post the exact model number of your remote if you expect a sensible reply. I recommend you go to the manufacturer's website for the latest code settings. Since there is no such thing as a 'universal' remote, you may not find what you need.
