first I would recommend to replace the batteries. Or simply put them out and back in, then test if it works. If not, replace for new ones.
Did it stop to work suddenly? Or did you drop it on the floor? If it is not damaged mechanically, then it should work with another Samsung TV, VCR, DVD or other Samsung devices...
