Brother HL-4070CDW Printer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
What is a waste toner box. what does it do and. BEWARE THIS NUMBER 1-800-975-0148 IS SPAM HERE
like the name suggest, it collects waste toner. Any toner that is left over from the print process is waste toner. Once the waste toner bottle is full, the printer will stop working until You have replaced it with an empty waste toner bottle. So in short, if it is telling u to get a new one, get one or the other option is to empty it yourself which is very messy and if u dont clean the bottle of all toner dust, may not even work.

Error says no paper when it has paper loaded.
Detach the power cord from the back of the printer for about 2-3 minutes so it can recycle. Plug back in. Hopefully, it will reset and sense that the paper is there.

How to empty waste toner box in brother 4070 printer
Firstly take out the Drum Carriage. Pull it out as far as it can go then on the left side of the Drum Rail there is a leaver which when turned allows the drum carriage to come out fully. Put the drum carriage down carefully on a flat surface. The rails of the carriage are set lower than the drums so if the surface is flat the drums don't rest on the surface.
Secondly lift out the Transfer Belt (the glossy black plastic thing beneath where the drum carriage is normally) using the handle available. Put this down also on a flat surface carful not to damage the plastic sheet or leaving fingerprints on it.
Thirdly lift out the WT cartridge which sits below where the Transfer Belt sits in the machine. This cartridge is the Waste Toner Box. These are purchased from your brother supplier and are rated to approximately 50,000 pages and are quite cheap to buy. I am guessing you could empty it if you really wanted to but then you have to figure what to do with the waste toner from it. To my knowledge the Landfills look poorly on disposal of waste toner in their landfill.

Why does the drum need changing
The drum is where the images are created, a good drum means good printing quality, is sensitive to light, do not expose to sunlight directly and also expose to the light as less as you can. Other Brands of printers has the drum in the cartridges, every time that you replace the cartridge actually you are replacing the drum, but usually the drum last longer than the toner, Brother allows user to change drum when its need it, for example this drum last about 17,000 pages if you are not concern about quality you can reset the drum and keep using until the quality is not enough for you.

Brother 4070 CDW Drum Unit Error
The green tabs that you have to slide are under the color cartridges, so remove the three color cartridges and you will see three green tabs, to slide the tab across the wire you have to first open the translucent plastic wire cover, then slide the green tab across the wires and return it to it's original position, close the wire covers, replace the color cartridges, and reassemble the printer. All the Best

Brother HL-4070CDW error reads print unable 32
Same thing on my printer. The density sensor door was sticking open against the springloaded solenoid. Simply remove the power supply assembly from the back of the printer (search for the service manual online; it has instructions under section 14 on how to do this; make sure to disconnect the four large red wires and the three connectors on the right hand side of the unit before pulling it out). Find the little solenoid on it that pulls the density sensor door open and you will see it will stick to the tape on the solenoid (bad design on Brother's part). Use alcohol to remove the sticky stuff from the solenoid and the sensor door and you can put some small single sided sticky tape back onto the solenoid to act as a cushion. Then double check the sensor door opens and close without sticking by manually moving it open and letting it go. If it goes back to closed without sticking, you are good to go. Re-assemble everything and your printer is fixed!

Brother 4070 Printer will not recognize new toner cartridge
Hi
Just cover the eyes (on both sides) that you can see in the bottom of the machine after removing the imaging cartrige with a small piece of electrical tape.
With printer switched on push the switch which is located inside the upper left side of printer (it is a small white switch) and then release it.
Also try resetting the gear, take the cartridge out. On the gear side take off 2 screws, the black gear on top right side, with a small spring underneath. Just take it off and reset it (rotate clockwise) so it is not at the stopping point.
Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

Our brother hl-4070cdw worked fine
Hello,
It could be a router issue. Try resetting the router and see if that will fix the problem. Look for your router's reset button, can usually be found at the back of the router, then use a pin to press and hold it for about 15 seconds.
