You did a nice job trying out other ways to install the printer successfully. However, it's weird that 3 computers are not recognizing the USB connection. Make sure that the USB cable is plugged in correctly (in the right position) in the USB port of the printer.

when you lift the scaner bed you will see the ink packs. When you install new ink packs make sure you remove the plastic strips, covering the ink jets of the new cartridge.

if not an option to retrieve that driver this printer will not operate on your current Operating System. you must have XP or a lower version to work this printer unfortunetly

Remove the cartridge and try to clean the contacts and reinsert if still shows the same message .you have to replace that particular right side cartridge.

There's a possibility, since you didn't mention what OSX you're using, that you might have the wrong driver. There are 2 for OSX; pre 10.6 & 10.6. The link is below. If you've installed the correct one, then I'm not sure where the problem would be corrected. I assume you've checked simple things like if the wireless switch on the printer is on and have checked it with cable directly attached?

Most Lexmark printers that were made before Vista came out will not operate on Vista with SP1 or SP2 updates
Also if you have a 64 bit interface it will not operate neither for you

Some places on the web sell a disc that allows your printer to run this way

You can get rid of them by logging on to your wireless router and deleting them there. If you dont know how to access your router then normally you would input the address in your top internet bar and then it will almost certainly want a password to access the settings of the router.

look under control panel ,printers and faxs, right mouse click on your printer displayed in the list , then from the list, select properties . Next from the tabs on top , select ports, from the ports list select the usb connection on the list or if wireless you should have a lexmark connection port showing as well. Its just you havent got the correct port selected.Dave

Hello. Try to run the installation cd in your computer again. If you haven't tried to uninstall the software from your computer, the cd should give you three options: Install a Printer, Repair/Update and Install Additional Softwares. Choose Repair/Update and just let it run and finish the installation. Also, make sure to allow all Lexmark and printer communications in your firewall. Try to scan wirelessly again. If problem needs further troubleshooting, I advise you to call Lexmark.

If your printer is having feeding issues, your rollers could be worn and need to be cleaned by a certified technician. This would fix your printing issues.

I had this problem till I started using heavier weight paper. My wife was buying the cheap really thin paper and it was no end of trouble.

I have this printer and when this did it to me like its doing to you the FEEDER had to be replaced. Now you might want to see if all the rollers are rolling and nothing is in the paper path. Also check you paper weight and size and adjust accordenly. A new feeder is like $27 bucks and you would have to go 3rd party to get it. I got mine from a USED lexmark someone was saling off ebay for my fix.

Sorry it took me for awhile to check on this. But, GREAT JOB figuring out what's wrong. I hope everything's working fine now.

The easiest way to "Get er done" is to remove the memory stick - SD memory card or what ever you use on your camera and put that into your printers card reader. This should make it so it just shows them for print. If this doesn't work - look for the printer software all in one in your programs list and hook the camera with the memory card in it to your pc. Run the import on your printer software and it will also 'import' pics from the camera via the USB cord or if you have a card reader in your pc use that to show the pics and run them to the printer through your software that came with the printer. If no software came with the printer go to the Lexmark website and download it for free. PLEASE vote me as helpful if I help at all it really makes a difference to me.

Mine does this too.
When the error comes up press the red X cancel button then select the computer name again and press the tick button it should then find the application list ok.
