Touch Screen Isn't Working
We had the same problem, but was able to call tech support at AT&T. The solution we were given was to do a Master Reset of the AT&T Tilt-Phone.
But before we did the Master Reset, we used the synchronize software to do a full backup of data and photos.
After that, we had to go through the setup process and of course the screen setup as well (which did work).

How to skip tap the screen to start page
Just press the soft reset button at the bottom of the phone with the stylus. Make sure you use the stylus because I ended up damaging my mic with a paper clip.
My friends tilt has conversation txting and mine does not.
If you're talking about getting SMS text messages to display in a "threaded" view, you will probably have to burn a custom ROM onto the phone. I don't know of any carrier who's ROM displays text-based convos in such a way.
Every custom ROM I've tried on my Tilts has done this. You might want to consider a
custom ROM.

Slmgato: have you tried to delete the old pairing on wmdc?
also to the other users: check the usb charge port on the tilt. Make sure it has not been bent or the pins have not been damaged. My tilt recently was damaged and now i can't charge or sync, but i can buy the replacement port for about 10 bucks and solder it myself.
I have phone model 8925 i want to unlock this
go to xda-developers.com. then go to forums, then find the picture of the tilt (8925) and then read the wiki. It goes into detail on how to unlock the phone for free. It takes a while but it can be done for free (unless you would like to donate to the developers). Just be sure to read the wiki and also perform searches with the built in search. They don't like newbies asking the same questions over and over.

hold down the two soft keys at the same time use your stylus to press the reset button...
if you do this you can use your phone but you will lose all you info and contacts

You will need to Hard reset the phone wiping everything (data) of the phone.
hold the two soft keys ( left & right keys directly under the screen) and then push the reset button at the very buttom with the stylus. then let go and then you should recieve a message confirming if you like to clear data.
8925 keyboard not working
There is a cable that connects the keyboard to the whole system this cable could be loose. It is very easy to fix this problem if it infact is that. If the lights on the keys dont light up than that is the problem. If you would like to fix it your self i can walk through it by an e-mail. Help finding my micro sd card on my phone.
Be sure to have the card properly inserted into the phone. Next go into the start menu on your phone. After that go into tools in tools you will see a program named File Explorer. From the file explorer you can see all the files on your phone. From there you should see Storage Card. Open the storage card file and there it is.
Put mp3 music on an at&t tilt
So on your Mini SD you need to make a folder named MUSIC. Then you just put ur music into it. After that place the card back into the phone.
Next on the phone go into the start menu and into the Tools menu. On there press file explorer. From here you can view all files on the phone. From there go onto storage card and in there select music. That will show all the music files. To import the music into the WMP library go into Windows Media Player from your programs list. Once in WMP press men and then press update library. This process could take any where from 30 mins. to an hour. once that is done you got it working
Tilt 8925 sound problem
it sond like sound configuration save all info an contacts and hard reset push and hold the 2 soft key the ones have a -- simbol and with the stilus push the reset boton for 3 second who is beside the usb conector and falow the instructions good lock
At&t tilt dispaly problem
Download the original ROM from the HTC site, make sure the ROM you download is for your phone (AT&T 8925)
Charge your phone battery using the wall charger or use another battery charged at least at 50% in case your phone can´t be charged.
While in the tricolor screen connect your phone to your PC, run the exe file you just downloaded and follow the instructions.
After a few seconds you´ll see that the phone screen turns white with a progress bar, wait for 100% completion and a few seconds after you´ll see your phone booting again
I forgot my password on my tilt 8925
only way to reset your phone is to reset it completely which will wipe everything off your phone.
Hold the 2 softkeys (under screen left & right) and at the same time push the reset button with your stylus. Continue to hold the soft keys until a message comes up asking if you want to do a reset
