What can i replace the motherboard for my hp
I would think it is a Micro ATX Board which there are many to choose from. Remember replacing the motherboard means new mwmory as well as other componets. take that in considderation when you purchase a Board. Shop at iger Direct online and the tech line will give you free support. Hope this helps
Computer wont boot up
I take it that you are seeing the message "no signal" on the monitor. If this is true, then I would disconnect all the devices inside of the computer case except the CPU and memory. See if you get any video. If you do, then reconnect the devices (hard drive, CD, etc) until you find the one giving you a problem.
If you have done all this and still no video, I would suspect one of two things: Either the power supply or the motherboard.
Monitor goes to sleep when pc is turned on .
I am working on my neighbor's slimline HP right now. His HP was having the same problem and has an extended warranty thru HP. He sent the computer to them and was told the motherboard is bad and not repairable. They actually told him to go buy a new computer! I told him I would take a look at it for him. I could not verify if it was the on-board video because even though the board has a PCI-E slot only a half size graphics card will fit and I do not have one. I need to verify that it is not the power supply but the problem is the board uses a small form ATX connector so I had to order and adapter for $15 and I am waiting for the part. If the power supply turns out to be then I will probably install a new motherboard. The problem is there is no where to get a new motherboard for this model(was made by Asus for HP). There are only used available one's available with no warranty. When I get the part to test the power supply I will post an update to you.
HP Slimline Pavillion s3123w monitor going to sleep.
Sounds like the motherboard might be bad but go thru these steps.
Unseat and reseat the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at at time and turn on the computer after each stick reinsertion.
If that doesn't get the video to come back up then go ahead and unseat and reseat the CPU. Then try turning on the computer.
If that doesn't do it, make sure there is no power going to the hard drive or the dvd drive. Then try turning on the computer.
If you do all of these steps and you still have no video, then the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.
My HP s123w Slimline Pavilion will not start up.
Take the floppy disk out of the drive... this sounds like the classic error when the boot order includes the floppy disk first, and a blank or data (not bootable) floppy diskette gets left in the drive.
There could be another type of drive set as bootable. CD's and DVD's don't normally do this - they usually cause a prompt "press any key to boot from CD..." or similar.
You could go in the computer setup and set the hard disc drive to be the 1st in the boot order and also solve this problem.
Otherwise could be your C: drive got damaged somehow. Virus or otherwise.

How di I remove viruses from my computer
You need to install Virus scanning software.
There are quite a few commercial one available such as McAfee and Nortons.
There are also some freeware ones on the Internet, AVG is one, Google the Internet for others.
Installing ati radeon x1300 graphics card

Hp w1907 monitor not detecting vgi input from original HP x3122 computer
It sounds like your computer has been having some trouble for some time. My hunch is that there is nothing wrong with the monitor at all.
Usually, when you see this warning on the screen that there is no signal, the monitor is trying to tell you that it cannot talk to the computer. This means the computer either a.) will not boot or b.) your video card in the computer has stopped working.
Does your computer make all the usual noises when you start it up? Can you hear the hard drive clicking and the fans come on?
Have you reseated the video connection on the back of the tower?
My guess is that something was going out before and it is now gone. The first place I would look to diagnose this problem is the hard drive.
Hard drives fade to fail sometimes, and when they are fading, the entire computer becomes painfully slow.
Hope this helps
good luck

HP Slimline desktop shuts down on it own without warning
you need to take off the fan to the cpu and blow out all the dust and dirt. removing the cover for better cooling is actually a bad thing to do.... with the cover on the fans will move air thru the computer to cool it... with no cover the air does not circulate for best cooling.

The computer shuts down with no warning.
I don't believe that this would be a hardware problem. Most likely the power settings for your PC are incorrectly configured for your liking. To repair these settings click Start/Control Panel, then click Power Options. From that panel, you will be able to set your power schemes. I would recommend the Always On option.

Sound system
try re-installing the audio drivers. i had that problem with my computer, all i did was search for Realtek AC97' sound drivers and sound was restored. if not, try SoundMax Digital Audio Drivers.
Hello, I have an HP
Good news! You don't want the fan to stop running. There are 2 in there most likely- one for the power supply and one for the CPU. Both run continuously to keep the innards at a safe operating temperature. If you want to keep an eye on the temperatures, I use SpeedFan and it'll keep a temperature in the lower right for you to watch.
