Maybe iTunes don't want your burning their music. I'm not sure cuz I don't use Itunes, but if it works on others that sounds like it might be the problem.

Here I found the below on Apple's site.

Symptoms Find out what to do if you can't burn an audio CD using iTunes for Windows. Sometimes an audio disc may not burn as expected. Here are some things to check.
Resolution Update iTunes Download and install the latest version of iTunes for Windows.
Songs not authorized iTunes will stop burning a disc if one or more of the songs in a playlist were purchased from the iTunes Store but are not authorized to play on this computer. This message appears:
"Some of the files can not be burned to an audio CD. Do you still want to burn the remainder of this playlist? For more information on why some files can not be burned, click below".

There's more so click the link below and see why you can't burn your cd.

Bad driver disc (or out of date). Use this program : Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 to download and install proper drivers.

You can also have a faulty power supply. I've seen many dells meet their demise with junk power supplies. If you are able, and you have the time, try a different one inside of it. it will need to be about a 300 watt 24 pin ATX style power supply with a 4 or 8 pin CPU power plug. (depends fully on what the board calls for.)

Check in the bios on boot up, it may be disabled.

Press the on button quick and don't hold it down. If you keep it on just that millisecond longer it could shut down. Hope this helps. Get back in touch. Steven :D

Hi

Try and google your model and make of the laptop to see if other owners encountered the same problem and how they resolved it.

there should be a lever on the side of the cpu that unlocks the cpu so you can remove it

cheers

Looking at the specifications for the Optiplex 755 line I'm seeing the highest power supply is in the minitower version at 305W. I can't find a document specifying the power requirements for the Radeon x1900, but most benchmark power consumption tests show the system pulls around 280 - 300W with that card installed.
The problem is either your specific Optiplex 755 configuration can't support the power requirements, I don't know if you have the MiniTower, Desktop Tower, Small Form Factor or Ultra Small Form Factor version of the sytem or the card is itself is bad.

If the system has a BIOS password, then you can clear it using a jumper on the motherboard.

Sounds like your on Google Chrome, this has started popping up since the last update and only on secure webpages at random, try running Windows Update and make sure it's up to date, it check the root certificates which should come with the windows updates.

ok 960 SFF is not the same as MT or the big case MOBO.
SFF has its own mobo (motherboards)
it has 11x2 row non ATX spec, power . not yours as it has 12x2 some SFF have 2 diffr. mobo
and a dell custom PSU for just this mobo and its odd duck jack. (called PICO plug)
why not buy a new PSU? that matches this PC?
even the SFF PSU case is not ATX spec.

Go into device manager. Uninstall audio driver.

Restart computer.

This will reinstall the default driver. Try again.

If it doesn't work, go to Dell website to find specific driver for your computer (using the service tag) and install that.

Desktops PCs usually have a 'jumper' on the motherboard, inside of the PC, that resets the BIOS, removing the password but also changing some settings to their defaults. It takes some 'know how' but you can google it to help you locate it.

CD/DVD reader/wroters are 'generic' parts, so any that the right size (5 1/4" or 'slim-line') with the right connector (IDE or SATA) should work OK. If in doubt, just buy from Dell (at their rip-off 'spare part' prices)

To get the Optiplex case open, look on the Dell web site for the 'service manual' ..

During power on, you should see a message like 'Select boot device' or 'Set boot order' or some such .. typically you press F12 ...

Alternative you can set a 'permenant' boot order in the BIOS (press F2 during power-up, as I recall)
