Will transmit but will not receive
I have programmed hundreds of these. The radio may be receiving, but the speaker may be muted. If using a hand mic, have the mic "off hook" or ungrounded and try again. Does the front light flash while the radio is receiving? This indicates the radio is "hearing", just not passing the audio to the speaker. Is there something plugged into the audio jack in the back? Let me know. In 20-30 minutes most shops familiar with Vertex will know exactly what is happening.
While transmissing 'E7" is displayed in vertex repeater. how to rectify this problem?Manual says it is PA Unit Problem.Pls tell me a solution for othis problem.
This error arises when the PA module draws abnormal current. I had this problem because of a bad solder joint in the harmonic filter that is located directly following the PA module. Because of that, the PA sees a mismatch on the output. The VSWR sensor will not detect this because it is placed AFTER the harmonic filter. In my repeater this harmonic filter was inside a shielded module that was really difficult to remove. After I removed it, it turned out one of the caps in the filter was not soldered properly. I am not saying this will be the case in your repeater, it could be another problem but for me this solved the error code issue.
Realistic scanner police codes
I recommend RadioReference.com, they have detailed lists from all over the United States. In addition to frequency lists, they also include live audio, HAM radio lists, licensing information and a lot more.

Serial Number for KPG-790
All questions need FULL 'make model (what it is) first 3 words please.
Something to do with this? The serial number should on the label on the rear by the mains cable. This is a statutory requirement unless someone removed it to hide its identity.
