It is not cleaning well--could it be my water

Hi,

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

Soap not breaking down in dishwasher

Be sure to run kitchen water hot at faucet before starting dishwasher or you will get an entirely cold water washer. Also be sure the jet dry dispenser is not empty. Only use liquid jet dry. Pay no attention if soap says with jet dry. Does not work as well. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a Frigidaire dishwasher model number FGID2466QF7A. It’s displaying a “Er” code and nothing else is lit, unlike other posters here. I reset once using the Rinse Only and Start/Cancel buttons. The display then read “199” as if it wanted to start the scrub cycle — yet when I pressed Start, the cycle would not start. I got it to clear, but then the “Er” messsge reappeared and now I can’t clear it using the same method I used before. Any suggestions? TIA!

Check / Repair / Solution = Main Control Board has detected a stuck key or a key pressed for more than one minute. Check connection from keypad to Main Control Board. If correct, replace keypad. If error still exist, replace Main Control Board.
