try this if it is recognized by the pc at least Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Hey Man, To Solve This All You have to do is look on the left side of the player,(where the silver line is going around the outside), and push the hold switch towards the other direction.

I Have the same problem, but mine has vertical lines running on the display, try contacting sony support

Get needle or something similar thickness and press reset button on left of USB port .

Everybody has this problem i just had to download a system its called winavi mp4 converter well i downloaded from a torrent website isohunt.com and i was given the code for the full version or i think if you google it you can get a free trial verion ill give you the user name i got and serial code so you can put it for the full verion because trial versions only let you convert only a few mins of the film the videos have to be MPEG4..

The motor might be broken and is not working and will have to be replaced in your walkman.

Hi Brian, It would seem obvious to contact Sony customer support. Failing that, you need to have access to another phone (in English) and use that as a "template" to work through the settings menu.

click home button ---settings---languages---change to required language.

did you try the hard reset button thats located behind the player? that could have got struck due to dust. Clean it before punching it.
