With the bottom of the unit facing you find the four very small screws holding the case together. You will need a Philips (cross) screw driver of size #0 ... small Jewelers (eyeglass) may do. The case opens very easy no tabs to deal with.... Ok on the right side of the battery case area you will find two dark round post with circles around them.... The larger one on the right is where the lower right screw came out of. The smaller circle is the reset button. Press gently to reset ... Plug in and turn on ..... If i have further trouble with this I will drill a hole in the case. Reassemble...

On mine its .. switch on .(make sure its not recording) Record start/stop on mine is beside to on/off button menu button twice (second menu) on this option screen its the second option down - press record to select. from there you can select your language. One you've done that its the same input method for date , you just select the date and time options.

Are you using the charging cables that came with it? That is a type C. Are you securely attaching the charging cable? A loose connection would keep the battery from charging. If you had a low battery, you would see a red light. That you have no light at all suggests there is no charge left in the battery. I'm not sure the reset will work with no charge which is why you ought to check the cables first. But turn it off and then hold down the Multifunction button for 10 seconds to reset it.
