My dishwasher will not drain,
From:P/D HOME COSTRUCTION
The solution to the problem is one in which the hose that drains the water must be plog, this one is below the dishwasher connected to the drainage of the sink or perhaps there must be the bent hose that it does not allow the water to go to the drain.
The dishwasher in my kitchen doesn't seem to drain and it seems pump is not working
I INSTALLED A NEW GARBAGE DISPOSER AND THEN FOUND THAT THE DISHWASHER WOULD NOT DRAIN. READ THAT THERE WAS A SEAL IN THE NOZZLE OF THE GARBAGE DISPOSER THAT HAS TO BE REMOVED IF IT IS ATTACHED TO A DISHWASHER. I DISCONNECTED THE HOSE,WITHOUT REMOVING THE GARBAGE DISPOSER, PLACED A SCREWDRIVER IN THE HOLE AND HIT IT WITH A HAMMER AND KNOCKED IT OUT. REPLACED THE HOSE AND TIGHTENED THE RING AROUND THE HOSE. TURNED THE DISWASHER TO DRAIN AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY. MY MISTAKE FOR NOT READING THE DIRECTIONS THOROUGHLY. ALL IS WORKING WELL; HOPE THE SAME FOR YOU.
Rinse cycle works but wash cylces do not, not water enters.
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. Please check the Timer and the heating element. If
every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer
knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer
may be at fault. Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher
temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses
after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set
temperature. What happens next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is
timed and the unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle
can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this
type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem
with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating
cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the
"cycle problem" is fixed too. Please do accept
the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
I have a Frigidaire dishwasher that is not workin...
Remove the drain end. Keep it above little . Check whether the water is retained inside the washing machine. If water is retained- check your drain valve in the machine. it is parmenantly open or having improper closure.
Dishwasher motor
Try pouring water from the front. The pump has got air traps inside. This will ease your problem.
Also check whether the spray arm turns freely without any obstacles.
My dishwasher fills drains but it don't wash and
you have to change the circulation pump.to order go searspartdirect.com and you can see the image and price . then call a service tech to install, but ak 10 tech what they charge the lowest gets the job. if this helps in anyway please give me a 4 thumbs up post thanks
During the cleaning cycles, it makes a weird noise
Hello. Under the sink there is generally a valve that controls the flow of hot water into the dishwasher, look there first. If you do not have a valve there and you have a basement under the dishwasher, check there. As a last resort, you may have to remove the lower front panel of the machine [remove four screws] and check there.
Many times this wierd noise and vibration is caused because the water pressure of the hot water entering the machine is higher than it should be. Just turning the valve 1/2 turn clockwise will reduce that water pressure and solve your problem. Regards, Joe
Have your hot water pressure checked. It sounds like reducing the water pressure, by turning sinks hot water, relieves the problem. Hot water heaters can cause excess pressure in some cases. An expansion tank on the hot water supply is one way to eleviate this problem.
Have you ever notice a rush of hot water pressure when first turning it on as compared to after the hot waters run for 10 seconds or more??

Top wand does not spin
You may have a water volume problem.
The water fill sequence on most washers is timed. Insufficient water at the bottom of the washer will cause the pump to cavitate.
Ensure water is filling to just under the heating element.
You can fix this by isolating the water and electricity then remove the fill solenoid. Inside the solenoid is a top hat filter screen. This screen captures sedement.
Once the sedement was removed on my washer the wands turned
My machine also had a check valve on the bottom near the back of the machine that was blocked. The valve needs to work freely in order for the pump to build pressure. The check valve can be removed from the top by turning the assembly counter clock wise.
Dishwasher does not remove water after cycle could
HI. check the following areas for faults.
1. Air gap / Drain hoses
If there is an air gap (located in the sink, near the faucet), check to see if it is clogged. Unscrew the top cap and see if there is anything blocking inside. Note: If there is no air gap installed, the dishwasher might not drain properly.
If the drain hose is clogged, the dishwasher would not drain. If there is an air gap installed, it is very common that a hose going from the air gap into the garbage disposer is clogged. Remove and clean the hose. Make sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher.
Note: If you recently had a garbage disposer installed, it is common to overlook removing the drain plug.
2. Broken belt
Some dishwasher models use a belt to drive the pump. Replace the belt if found broken.
Note: Sometimes the belt would just come off the pump. Even though it might not be broken, it is recommended that you replace the belt, because it is probably too stretched out.
3. Pump
Some models have two impellers inside the pump - one, wash impeller, takes care of the wash cycles, the other, drain impeller, drains the water out. If the drain impeller is broken (broken blades, shaft), the dishwasher would not drain. Replace any broken pump components.
4. Drain solenoid
Some models (for example most GE dishwashers) use a drain solenoid to drain water out. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck, preventing the water from draining out. Try to free up the solenoid. If unsuccessful, you might have to replace the pump assembly.
5. Motor
If the motor is stuck, it is sometimes possible to free it up by manually spinning the motor.
Replace the motor if defective.
6. Control Sector
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).
