I have a asus P5K motherboard, 4gb Patriot mem.,

Hi. here are possible troubleshootign steps to resolved this issue.

1) Kind of obvious) Switch all off and try again.
Switch off the power at the PSU (switch on back), then hold down the ATX switch (on button on the front of the case) for 30 seconds to clear residual charge in capacitors. Switch back on. - If this worked you really didn't need this FAQ...

2) Ensure that ALL cables are tight, pay special attention to the dongle going to the GFX card (if applicable).
Also make sure that your monitor is actually plugged in to your GFX card...

3) Reseat the GFX card, take it out, check for obvious signs of damage, you may want to clean the gold contacts with alcohol or meths.
Put a small amount on a "lint-free" tissue, or use coffee filters.
Put it back in. Make sure it's all the way in and nice and tight.
You should just be able to see the very tops of the gold contacts sticking out of the socket. Make sure that there's nothing obstructing it - e.g. open RAM clips on the motherboard.
If there are any clips to lock it down make sure they are tight.

4) Clear the CMOS.
The CMOS battery provides charge when there is no power at all going to your motherboard; this charge keeps the adjustable settings of your BIOS set. Clearing these settings resets you BIOS.

If you have one, use the clear CMOS jumper located near the battery on your motherboard. Get exact details in your motherboard manual, but basically it's three pins, with a jumper over two of them
[◘ ◘]◘
With power switched off as in step 1, move the jumper to short the other pin
◘[◘ ◘]
leave for about 5seconds then put back, switch power back on.

If you do not have a clear CMOS jumper, remove the CMOS battery. The battery's a pretty easy thing to spot. It looks like a watch battery... To remove it, look for the little clip holding it down towards one edge, push it back so that the battery "pops up" (Tooth-pick is a useful tool for this - Do not use a screwdriver or force the battery in anyway.). Once it's out, place it on a nonconductive, clean, and surface. Try to hold the battery by the edges if possible.
Leave for about 30 minutes then put back in. Switch on.

Bios conf for pci-e card

Try it without disabling the onboard video. It might be possible to use both. I know someone who has this board, so I can check for you later. Let me know if you still have trouble. I will have this person do a test for you if you need one done. You might need to flash the BIOS. That is a fairly new board. I just built a system with with the maximus.

How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Graphics card no picture on monitor when connected via HDMI or any cable?

The issue you are experiencing with your graphics card and monitor can be caused by various factors. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to identify and resolve the problem: 1. Check power connections: Ensure that the graphics card has the necessary power connections properly connected. Some higher-end graphics cards require additional power connectors, such as 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Make sure they are firmly plugged in. 2. Verify BIOS settings: Access your motherboard's BIOS settings and check if the primary display output is set to the PCIe slot where your graphics card is installed. It should be set to prioritize the discrete graphics card instead of the integrated graphics (if applicable). 3. Update BIOS and drivers: Visit the Gigabyte website and make sure you have the latest BIOS version installed for your motherboard. Additionally, download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card from the XFX or AMD website. Outdated firmware or drivers can cause compatibility issues. 4. Reset BIOS: Try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. Locate the CMOS battery on your motherboard, remove it for a few minutes, then reinsert it. This action resets the BIOS settings to their defaults and may resolve any conflicting configurations. 5. Check for physical damage: Inspect the graphics card for any physical damage, loose connections, or faulty components. Ensure that it is securely inserted into the PCIe slot and that there are no visible signs of damage on the card or its connectors. 6. Test with a different monitor and cable: Connect your graphics card to a different monitor using a different cable (e.g., DisplayPort, DVI) to rule out potential issues with the HDMI cable or the monitor itself. This helps determine if the problem lies with the graphics card or the specific combination of monitor and cable. 7. Check for motherboard compatibility: Verify that your graphics card is compatible with your motherboard. Check the manufacturer's website for compatibility lists or consult the user manual for your motherboard. In some cases, a BIOS update might be necessary to ensure compatibility. 8. Seek professional assistance: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the technical support of your motherboard or graphics card manufacturer. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or recommend further action, such as warranty service or component replacement. Remember to handle your hardware with care and take necessary precautions, such as grounding yourself and disconnecting the power supply, before performing any physical checks or adjustments.

I am using an Asus Vivo mini computer approx 5 years old. Since December I often receive error message across top, "Microsoft Edge (not responding)"

Question edited for clarity and toss in a load of CAPS as needed. Microsoft Edge is one of the worst browsers ever invented. It is flashy and looks pretty, but is not user friendly and is glitchy. The most likely issue for that Error Message is your Internet Wifi signal dropping out. You can test this theory two ways. Do you have a smartphone? Download the Free App Speedtest. When you get the Edge Error, whip out your phone and do a Speed Test. If it stalls or only returns a speed of 5 to 10 mbps, that is your issue. Or Download Google Chrome which is FREE and a much more robust browser and easier to use. Keep both Edge and Chrome open, when Edge collapses, try to do things on Chrome. If Chrome works, then the issue is Edge. If Chrome also fails, the issue is your Wifi and Router. A Router reboot should be done about once a month. Google Chrome Download - Download Google Chrome google.comhttps://www.google.com Continue your browsing experience from desktop to phone on Chrome. Download today. Now more simple, secure, and faster than ever - with help from Google built-in. Google Address Bar. One browser, all devices. Type less with autofill. Chrome support.

Download Now Get a new and fast web browser. Download Chrome and start browsing.
