Where is the Driver for a SataI HardDisk when installing Windows 7, which is attached to a Gigabyte 8KNXP Motherboard? The Gigabyte 8KNXP Driver Download site has a Driver but it's for Windows XP.

According to Gigabyte, you have a Silicon Image 3112/3152 SATA chip on that motherboard. Below is a link to the Silicon Image support page. Here, under the Product support pulldown you will choose either of the two numbers (3112/3152) and scroll down the list and you will find a driver for Windows 7 for 32 and 64 bit 3x12 chips (where the x is any number). They also say to use the newest BASE BIOS and there are tips to update the chip's BIOS. I've never tried this before, but hope you have good luck! Support Library

Everyone know some drivers for new bios?Because i purchased a Gigabyte GTX 750,and my mobo want a new bios.My mobo is Foxconn 2abf 1.30

The manufacturers provide BIOS updates. Go to their websites to get them. FWIW: You should only update the BIOS if the update provides a necessary feature or fixes a specific problem. Read the BIOS release notes to find out what it does.

Since changing the battery on the Gigabyte 8KNXP mboard the SATA Hard Drive isn't being seen. How do I setup the BIOS for the SATA hard drive to be used & seen for Windows to start up again?

Are you sure that the drive isn't being detected but not being SELECTED as the boot drive? Most older MBs will default to the PATA primary cable to search for the boot disk. When you fist boot up, enter the BIOS. If, under the STANDARD CMOS FEATURES option, you do not see your SATA drive listed, then check the data and power cable connections to the SATA drive. If it still is not, there, then, in the CMOS, check under the INTEGTATED PERIPHERALS to ensure that the ON-CHIP SATA option is enables (or AUTO). If the drive IS there, but just not booting, then, under the ADVANCED BIOS FEATURES, check and ensure that the SATA drive is listed as the FIRST BOOT DEVICE. If it is not, follow screen direction to change the first boot device to the SATA HDD.

Have a LG L194WT 1440x900 display but cannot set that resolyution - max is 1280 x 1024 after upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1

There are two possible issues that can cause this:
  1. The graphics adapter driver is not correct (using default VGA)
  2. The OS doesn't recognize the monitor's resolution capability.
Look at the DEVICE MANAGER screen and observe what the display adapter type is. If it is a "standard VGA" then you need to search for an updated adapter for your computer's graphics card or internal chipset (if onboard graphics). If the display adapter is correct, then check with the LG site to see if there is a monitor driver that can be loaded to aid in the OS identifying the monitor's native resolution. If there is no Windows 8 driver, you can try a Windows 7 driver...it may work.

Is a Trident TGUI9680-1 graphics card compatible for a Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 motherboard?

These cards were new back in 1995. It WILL work installed in one of the PCI slots, but you will probably have to settle for the default VGA drivers since there most likely won't be anything available for the newer OS's. Don't expect great video quality of fast performance either since machines of that vintage clocked around 200 Mhz, unlike the 2+ GHz machines of today. Good Luck!

I have a problem with my computer.when i want to install windows, the windows can not detect any hard drive on my computer.the mb gigabyte ga-945gzm-s2

attach power and data cables, use a new data cable. check that the hdd pwers up when the pc is switched on. as the machine boots up go into the bios and check whether it is detected there. There might be an option in bios to switch between IDE mode and native SATA mode. without changing in bios just go into it and then press F10 to save and exit. If the drive does not show up then restart and re-enter bios then change the forementioned option to the other stting and press F10 again to save and exit. You should be lucky hopefully. If this procedure does not give any joy check that your drive is compatible with your board. If it is a newer drive it may well need to have jumpers adjusted to set it to SATA2,which is what that board used I believe. Good Luck
