OSD Lock-out — The OSD can be enabled or disabled by pressing and holding the Menu button on the front panel for 10 seconds. If the OSD is locked, the warning message “OSD Lock-out” appears for 10 seconds.

try powering off your monitor and disconnect the cable at both ends. switch the ends if that doesn't work try another cable.then turn the monitor back on see if the osd menu went away.

The problem can be bad inverter board or mother bd is not sending the signal to turn on the inverter, or no 12v getting to the inverter board. You need to open up the lid to check teh inverter board.

The webcam is apparently installed fine. You now need some way to contact the people you want to cam with. This is where the messenger part comes in. You will need one to contact people and talk to them with. Some suggestions are Yahoo, aol, or msn messenger to name a few. Yahoo is easy to use, works across most messenger platforms and will automatically install the webcam for you to use. Then all you will need is thier Im(internet messenger) name to contact them. Now I'm not 100% certain on this BUT I do believe that the HP 2408 does not have an incorporated webcam. The little dot on the left hand side, that you're undoubtedly confusing with a webcam, is in fact an ambient light sensor. You're going to have to stump up some cash and go out and buy a webcam I'm afraid.
