if still no go, then re-seat the drive (If removable) then reset the defaults in BIOS.
If still no go, see if you can boot to a bootable CD (Windows or recovery CD usually) if it will not boot, the drive has likely failed

GO TO CONTROL PANEL.SELECT KEYBOARD.RIGHT CLICK IT AND SELECT PROPERTIES.FROM THERE YOU CAN SET YOUR OWN PARAMETERS.

Yes this can be repaired, but of course it all depends on how it was broken. If it was broken as in, broken off the motherboard, it may have damaged the board beyond repair which means a new motherboard... min $300.

If the power socket is just messed up you could buy the power ******** the net. I've purchased such items off e-bay. Just type the PC model number into E-bay and include dc power and you will come up with what you need for about $8. You could then solder it on to the motherboard if you are brave or get a friend that knows ho :) It works but be careful, laptops can be heck to take apart!!!

If you send the PC to the manufacture or a PC repair shop you are probably looking at spending near $120 for labor + parts.

Remove the PC labtop battery then re insert it again.
If still not charging check the charger connector if its connected as well.
If there was no problem in the charger connector,Check the charger itself.
These all what you need to check only,no problem in your labtop.
If still not charging means one of these :
1- The BATTERY may needs to be changed .
or
2- The charger may needs to be changed.

That error means that the Boot Manager is Missing. This is usualy caused by either a failed hard drive, or a failed attempt at recovery. If you try to do a recovery and then suddenly halt the process, weather on purpose or due to somthing like power failure, then the first bit of the Recovery boot process, the BTMNGR, can be hosed. If this happens then your only option is to order recovery disks from the manufacturer and install the OS that way.

You might boot into bios (F10 on startup) and do a hard drive self test first to make sure you dont have a hard drive problem...

You have to make your PC bootable first.
You can do that from the BIOS .
When you power on read the directions wich it appears on screen and see wich Button of F you should press to enter SETUP (F1 OR F2 ...F12 etc..)
Then press the wanted button and enter SETUP.
Then in SETUP page Go to BOOT and choose the drive of the DVD and make your drives bootable
Then save and exit.
Then re insert your CD and continue

Right click anywhere on the screen, click "screen resolution". Look for "Orientation" ,click the drop down menu to the right and click "landscape".

The problem could be because of the following reasons :-

• Dirty lens of your dvd rom
  

In the above case you need to get a lens cleaner from the market and get your dvd ROM drive cleaned with it, some lens cleaners have an inbuilt audio file of a specific length which has music in it , to indicate whether you are done with your cleaning or not.

• Bad lens of your drive
  

In the above case you need to either get your lens replaced or get a new drive assembled in your laptop via an able service center , or an authorised service center.
Usually this problem is because of dirty lens , and I hope your problem will get solved as a result of cleaning of the lens.

Please follow the below steps :-

1. Get a lens cleaner from the market and insert it in your DVD ROM driver , this would help remove the dust particles on the lens which could be a reason for the DVDs not being read.
2. Remove the lens cleaner from the tray and then insert a clean cd free of any dust in the DVD drive , if this works , then you have your problem resolved.
3. If the above procedure does not work , then you need to get the lens replaced so that you have a working lens which can read your DVDs perfectly.
4. If you feel that a new lens would cost you much as compared to a new DVD rom , since they are available cheap these days, you can go for a new one...:)

This is a simple fix in windows vista or windows 7. hit the keys CTRL+ALT+DELETE simultaneously and release. The screen that comes up click on Start Task Manager.

In the task manager window click on Processes Tab. Look for explorer.exe and highlight it and click End Process. Click Yes to stop it. When it is gone from the list, click the Applications tab and click on New Task. In the run box that pops up, type in explorer.exe and click OK or hit Enter. Once your task bar and icons repair look in the system tray area by the clock and the missing icons should now be there.

You would normally connect external speakers to a laptop using the laptop's headphone port. The cable coming from the speakers would normally have a green connector on the end and would plug directly in.

If you have a bigger, more complex speaker system then you would need to determine what connections are possible to the speakers and what outputs are provided on your laptop. The most common audio out ports (for PC's, not so much laptops) are SP-DIF Coaxial and Optical. These would provide full digital surround sound signals from your computer but are not found commonly on laptops.

My best guess would be the above green connector to headphone port setup. The rest is a bit optimistic for an everyday laptop.

If you have access to an external monitor, try connecting it to the laptop. If you have video, then press and hold the Fn key and tap the F7 key. This toggles the video from LCD only to external monitor only to both in three taps. If you still have no video on the LCD but you do on the monitor, shine a bright light on the LCD display. you may see the video displayed. If so, then you have either a bad back-light or a bad LCD inverter in the laptop display. I would suggest replacing both to be on the safe side. A bad LCD can damage the inverter and a bad inverter can damage the LCD.
