My sony laptop touchpad not working properly
i have two solutions for you. the touch pad can be disabled on the motherboard so plz hold-down the fn key and press the function key that has the sign of a hand pointing something and the second is that ur drivers that enables thae touch pad to work has been courrupted so plz try reinstalling for the touchpad or try repairing ur operating system.

Hi,Thanks for asking Fixya !!!Goto Start>>RunTypedevmgmt.mscpress okin device manager doubel click Mice and pointing device and right click and uninstall the touch pad driver and uninstallthen restart the computer ..Thanks

How do I turn off screen on laptop when I am
Hi, connect your tv to your netbook, once connected, hold down FN (bottom left of your keyboard) then press accquired F button (top of keyboard). Ie on my laptop its FN and F5 together. This will turn your laptop screen off while you watch Netflix on your tv. To turn screen back on once finished, repeat the process. Hope this helps and please rate,, thanks

Have you reinstalled the drivers? Usually the thing people notice is no sound and no wireless but you should install drivers for all the major parts e.g. Display, Audio, Network, Printer (if you have one) and so on. The drivers can usually be found on the maufacturers (Sony in your case) website under support,downloads or simply drivers. It just a matter of downloading, installing and then restarting the computer.

My dvd-rom doesn't read any
Put in an ordinary CD and play to notice if the CD is detected or is trying to read- you can hear spinning noise.If so but there is no files read then the possibility that the laser head can be defective or dirty.
It is ideal to clean manually the laser head eye using a cotton bud with gentle pressure on the lens eye.
If drive does not work try reinstalling the drivers.
If this wont work the drive can be faulty and needs a replacement.

usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer
Instruction Manuals, list
of Dealers,
for spare parts and service, Driver
downloads
and
Installation Instructions
as required.
This is the best way of ensuring up to
date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

Sony vaio FZ240E display flicker
The backlight (ccfl) of LCD called cold cathode florescent lamp is most probably damaged.
You can go for its purhase or ask for a quote...
