YOu can reset bios password with 2 method.
(1) open back cover of laptop then find motherbord .Pull cmos cell from motherbord for 15 minutes then again put it in it's position .then it not ask for password.
(2)You can clear password with jumper settings find jumper on motherbord named clear cmos it has 3 pin .1-2-3
Put jumper in 2-3 position then again put it in 1-2 position then check .

You can restore it to factory settings:Restart your computer, hold down ALT key and start hitting F10 key up and down at the computer startup.

heck to see if the fan is working, if not replace it.If the fan is working and spinning freely, then clean the vents and remove any dust/lint.You may need to remove the fan/heatsink off the CPU and clean off the old heatsink compound and replace it with fresh heatsink compound and reinstall the fan/heatsink. When using the laptop, make sure it is on a firm flat surface and none of the vents are obstructed.

Laptop batteries age.

Yours may be simply going dead. This happens after a while. If it only holds a little charge, then you need a new battery which can run 20-50 dollars on ebay.

Otherwise, it is your charger. This is cheaper to replace and might cost 10 to 30 dollars from ebay.

Lastly, if none of the above, it is your laptop connector port. This is the worst to fix and might require repairs that are costly.

Keep in mind, if you are under warranty, all of the above are covered and you simply need to call Acer.
