Why does google "redirect" my search

Google shouldn't redirect your searches. This sounds to be malware which sometimes can be difficult to get rid of. I've had success with the free version of Malwarebytes. Download and install that.

Next, reboot the computer into 'Safe Mode'. When you see the bios screen (usually has the manufacturer's logo) begin pressing/tapping 'F8'. Shortly after a list will come up asking how you want to start the computer. Select 'Safe Mode with Networking'.

Once you get back to your desktop run a full scan with Malwarebytes and have it fix any thing it finds. This scan can take anywhere from twenty minutes to over two hours based on how many files you have and how fast your processor is.

Once it's fixed/cleaned everything reboot and let the computer load normally. Hopefully this has gotten rid of it. If not you may have to back up all of your personal files and do a system restore. Often this is the easiest, yet most inconvenient, way of getting rid of a virus/malware.

I hope this is helpful and that you don't have to do a system restore. Let me know if you have any questions.

How do I get Video out on a 15 pin to RGA input on

To put out display on external device you have to have drivers for function keys installed which are factory there so if you did not reload windows should be ok. The Fn key is located on bottom left part of keyboard between Alt and Ctrl key's and is usually blue. While holding this button you have to push one of the F keys on top of the keyboard. On most it will show couple monitors together on same key, on older laptops it says CRT/LCD. Once you press it it will give you little icons on the screen of the laptop and you can just press it again to toggle between. You have to choose extend option to be able to view on both tv and laptop or just I believe move to display only on tv. Some newer laptops will do it by then selfs. per this manual it says it is Fn and F8 key. This is full and very helpful manual and it tells you how to do everything.

I forget my bios setup

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your Dell laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

I got a Dell Vostra

1. Try to contact dell customer support service.
2. Here nothing is wrong with your software.
3. There is a problem in your hardware, may be your HDD or RAM or motherboard is faulty.
So your problem can be solved only by dell technical support or by taking it to a repair shop.

Have dell inspirion1525. Screen

Well the Flashing "lock with 9" is Num Lock, the "blue lock with an A" is Caps Lock, and the "blue lock with a down arrow" is Scroll Lock. Hope that answers that question.

Now for the screen being blank usually means there is an issue with either your LCD display or an issue with the laptops video card. Plug in an external monitor and boot up the laptop if you still get a blank screen then there is an issue with the laptop's video card. If you can see your screen on the external monitor then there is an issue with the connection of the LCD displayon your laptop. You can try ifxing it your sleve by opening up the laptop and making sure the connection is firm or you can take it somewhere to get it fixed.

Please rate if this helps

I just put a Sony

Use small utensils, such as tweezers, bits of wire or a paperclip. If nothing you try works, you can remove the bottom of the laptop to get access to the interior of the slot. Hopefully this won't invalidate your warranty, if you have one.
Good luck.

My dell vostro 1500 laptop

it sounds like your ac adapter has burned out and won't charge anymore. That's very common... that's why they are so cheap on ebay. Either that or your power plug on the motherboard is cracked or loose at the motherboard (2nd most common) and last bad motherboard (don't assume this unless last resort.)

Forgot bios password for vostro

Well, you can remove the battery and replace it and then start the computer up, but I think the Vostro may have a set of jumpers that say CMOS CLR. You move the jumper to the CLR side and then back to clear the CMOS
