What causes" ntldr"?

NTLDR fail is either corrupt files or a bad disk drive. Check my tip for how to repair software. If it is a hardware error, don't use the computer and get it to a local shop that can recover your data and replace your disk drive.

If this answers your question, I'd appreciate 4 thumbs. I do this for fun and do not get paid.

I have a laptop that had windows 2000 professional

Hello Coreymanis,

You need to purchase the windows XP CD to get the Genuine CD Key.
You can reinstall windows 2000 Professional if you have CD Key of it, but it needed the CD also. If your friend having the CD you can use that CD and use the CD key which you have.

I suggest not to install windows 2000 professional because this has been expired as per Microsoft and no support available in future.

I put a new hard drive in my laptop and i keep

henry_holmes

If you are still having trouble with the drive being detected the problem may not be with your hard drive but the computer. If you got the same error on your old hard drive I would try it on another computer to see if it is detected. If it is then most likely there is a problem with the motherboard.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions.

My friend has asked me to fix his computer it

The life of a battery is largely determined by the number of times it is charged. After hundreds of charge and discharge cycles, batteries lose some charge capacity, or battery health. To check the battery health, press and hold the status button on the battery charge gauge for at least 3 seconds. If no lights appear, the battery is in good condition, and more than 80 percent of its original charge capacity remains. Each light represents incremental degradation. If five lights appear you should consider replacing the battery.
I hope this helps and good luck!

Flashing Lights On My Computer?

You've changed the batteries, but are they fully charged?

I usually leave my charger in all the time when using the laptop as Advent laptops have bad battery life.

Try charging it for max 8hours. If the problem stil persists, then i guess its something internally wrong with the laptop?

Or even, the charger wire may be a bit loose which is preventing it from charging the laptop either completly or partly.

Hope that helped

Check out Big Fish Games. It is a subscription service but they have all types of games including adventure and hidden object. You can also tryp Pogo since they have both a fee and subscription service. Last, but not least, you can try one of your local computer stores or the electronics section of "big box" stores like Target, Walmart, Kmart, etc.
