Go to control panel and click system icon. Go to the device manager and see if camera is listed under the devices. Reinstall the driver of yor camera by going to the lenovo
site. Try pressing Fn key + Esc key. This will enable/disable the webcam.

Your Recovery partition got corrupted after you installed XP. What you can do is to call their support number its 1 877 737 1082 to request a copy of recovery disc. it will cost you $39 plus the support to help load the OS / drivers/software for Lenovo.

I believe you are an experiencing an issue with the CD/DVD drive on your computer.In the registry the following subkey:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}-upper filter/lower filters should not be present if they are present that would effect the functionality of the drive.Please check whether you are able to view the contents of the CD/DVD by going into computer right click on CD/DVD drive icon and then click on open and if you are able to view the contents of the DVD/CD then the drive is working fine and please try the following steps:-
One of these may help:
1. Download, and run Restore Missing CD Drive patch
Double click on cdgone.zip to unzip it.
Right click on cdgone.reg, click Merge.
Accept registry merge.
Restart computer.

2. Go to Device Manager, click a "+" sign next to IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.
You'll see two items:
- ATA Channel0 (or Primary Channel)
- ATA Channel1 (or Secondary Channel)
Right click on each of them, and click Uninstall. Confirm.
Restart Windows. They'll be automatically reinstalled.
Incase this doesn't work please perform the below menioned step:-
Go Start>Run ("Start Search" in Vista), type in:
sfc /scannow
Click OK (hold CTRL, and SHIFT, hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy.
If System File Checker (sfc) will find any errors, it may ask you for the CD/DVD (rarely in Vista case).
If sfc won't find any errors in Windows XP, it'll simply quit, without any message.
