Frigidaire GLWS1649A Top Load Washer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Frigidaire washer won't agitate
hi Cinebar.
this is what i found from the internet so not sure if this will be off help to you.
There could be several reasons why your Frigidaire washer will not agitate, including problems with the power supply, the wash cycle or the way in which the appliance was loaded.
It is a good idea to try to resolve the problem with your washer yourself first since unnecessary repair call-outs can potentially be expensive if your appliance is outside its warranty period. Troubleshooting your Frigidaire
washing machine will take about 15 minutes.
Confirm the water shutoff valves are open. If your Frigidaire washer cannot draw water from the pipes, it will not fill or agitate. The shutoff valves are usually located behind the washing machine where the water pipes meet the wall.
Allow the washing machine to cool down for 30 minutes. Frigidaire appliances automatically shut off if the motor starts to overheat. The cool-down period lasts for half an hour if the appliance has not been switched off manually.
Verify that the detergent draw is tightly closed. If the dispenser is left open, the washer will not start or agitate its load. Push the draw so it sits flush with the front of the washing machine.
Ensure that the washing machine door is closed. As with the detergent door, the appliance will not start if the door is left slightly open, to prevent water from spilling onto the floor. Push the door closed until it clicks, and try your load again.
Confirm that your Frigidaire dryer is set to a spin cycle. If your dryer is set to a soak cycle or is currently in the soak portion of a longer cycle, it will not spin or agitate the wash. Make sure the appliance is set to a spin load and try again.
Contact Frigidaire if problems continue. You may be entitled to free service if your washing machine is within its warranty period. See Resources for Frigidaire's contact information.

Water dose note pump out pump not plug is there a
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Need to remove agitator on
Hi.
In this model the agitator (part 11 in diag. below) is held by one single bolt. All you have to do is removing the detergent dispenser and a cover (check diagram, it is part 66-67). After that reach the agitator, undo the bolt (nr 56 in diagram below) located on top of the agitator, and pull out the agitator.
Here the diagram, click on the picture to enlarge:
Here all parts and diagrams for your model.Regards.
Ginko.

Motor rotates but motor pulley does not rotate.
Check the allen set screw on the pulley. You will probably need a long allen key to reach it. You will also need a flash light to find it. Hopefully, the shaft has not been damaged beyond reasonalbe use.

Washer filling over and over
Check the placement of your drain hose. This may be a simple issue of siphoning. The following link explains:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r587481-prevent_washer_siphoning
Make sure you have a sufficient air gap at the top of the drain stand pipe, and that the drain hose is not placed in the standpipe too deep. This can cause the water to constantly siphon out of the wash tub and the washer will continue to fill to try to maintain the water level.
Please let me know if you have questions, or if you require additional assistance. I hope this helps you.

Agitating to many times
Have you verified that you do not have a siphoning condition? The following link explains:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r587481-prevent_washer_siphoning
Please double check the installation and placement of your drain hose. If the top of the standpipe is sealed off, or if the drain hose is shoved too far down into the standpipe, this can create a vacuum. This can cause the washer to constantly
siphon out of the wash tub on the fill cycle and the washer will continue to fill (as needed) to maintain the water level. In other words, what may appear to be a significant problem, can be something as simple as a simple placement issue with the drain hose.
If you have further questions, please let me know. If the diagnosis is not correct, please post back and also let me know, so that I may be able to assist you further. I hope this helps you.

My Frigidaire Affinity washer makes a loud buzzing sound when you push the start button and will not start, what can I do
Good Morning Anonymous, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!
I understand that your door indicates it is open and your dryer will not operate. Let's attempt resetting your dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is good to wait approximately ten minutes and turn on your dryer. Select a normal cycle and verify if your dryer will start. If your dryer will not operate then it possibly have a faulty door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. At this point, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

What's stopping my dryer from running continuously
Hi,
Please power cycle your dryer and attempt to run it again. If this fails, please ensure that your clothes are evenly distributed so that they weight of the clothes doesn't cause the dryer to be shutdown. Just to double check, please ensure that you've cleaned the lint track of your dryer. Lastly, you can use an power outlet extender to help switch the power outlet that you're using to run your dryer as there might be something wrong with your current one.
Thank you.

My Frigidaire dryer won't run longer than 5 secs what's wrong how can I fix
There could be several issues that could cause your Frigidaire dryer to stop running after just a few seconds. Here are a few potential problems to consider:
- Thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety device that shuts off the dryer if it overheats. If the fuse has blown, the dryer will not run.
- Clogged dryer vent: If the dryer vent is clogged, it can cause the dryer to overheat, which could trip the thermal fuse.
- Faulty cycling thermostat: The cycling thermostat regulates the dryer's temperature. If it's faulty, the dryer may not run for more than a few seconds.
- Faulty start switch: If the start switch is faulty, it could prevent the dryer from running.
- Faulty door switch: The door switch prevents the dryer from running when the door is open. If the switch is faulty, the dryer may not run.
To fix the problem, you'll need to diagnose which of these issues is causing the problem and then replace the faulty part. I recommend having a mechanic diagnose and fix the problem for you.

WHAT IS E11 ERROR CODE IN MICROWAVE FRIGIDAIRE
The E11 error code indicates a problem with the gas sensor DE32-60011A and or the wire harness DE39-40678D. Unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued the sensor. You may want to try contacting local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it or try eBay, Amazon or similar sites . Search by using the manufacturers part number. Try a used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or a usable part for your machine.
