• I had the same issue of being stuck in rinse and timer stuck at 20 min. Mine was a water flow problem, at the back of the washer where you hook up the water there is a small in line screen to stop debris from water supply. I removed them, they were clogged, cleaned them up, works great!!!

Good Morning Friend, I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# GLWS1339CS, will not drain the water even if you program it to just drain. I also see that you just replaced the drain pump in your appliance. I suggest checking the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged. I would also check your home's drain system to make sure that it is not clogged either. This machine does not have a direct drive unit which is the one that has the coupler. The clutch assembly is located with the transmission on this unit. If you undo two screws at the bottom of the front panel then pull panel forward and off then you will see the transmission. It is right below the drum and kinda looks like a counter weight. Most likely lid switch is defective

It is simple front panel is usually hold in place with some clips and screws and some times some notches in the bottom Look for screws in the bottom and panel is removable by couple of screws in the bottom and couple of clips on the top

Before spending any money calling a repairman or changing parts, check the drain hose. If it is too deep down into the drain pipe then pull it back so that only about 6 to 10 inches is down the pipe. If it is too far down then it creates a vacuum which drains the water as it is trying to fill for the final rinse.

probably the belt . Make sure the tub is turning freely . If not check for nail in one of the holes or an article of clothes jammed between tubs. If it turns freely just change the belt

where the hoses go into the machines you will notice those valves are controled by solnoid switch thats what starts and stops water flow as you turn selector knob you should hear them click if that turn off water supply remove hoses from back of machine check if filter screen is in place and that there is no trash keeping valve open p.s switch from hot and cold to see which one needs to be replaced or repaired

So, the motor runs all the time but the belt is skidding until the drum is pushed? Apart from the belt tension perhaps being too low, the 'click' suggests that the bearings on the drum are shot, making them lock up in certain positions at rest. ,

Hi,
If your washer is emptying like that it is because your drain hose is too low. The water is siphoning out of it.
Raise the standpipe up and get the hose up higher and you will be okay.
Now this is assuming that your pump is not running which you didnot state. If your pump is running and pumping the water out then you have problems with the timer switches and need a new timer.

Tou should be able to just pull it straight up. If not, remove the top cap and remove the nut, then lift it out.

Assuming the motor isn’t running during fill the water is siphoning out and can be caused by a few things.

• The drainpipe to your house may be too low and you either need to extend the pipe up above the top of the tub or run the drain hose from your washer up high.

• Someone may have taped the drain hose from the washer to the drainpipe to your house to stop the water from backing up. To fix this either clean out the drainpipe to your house and remove the tape or install a siphon break.

• If the drain hose from your washer is pushed down the drainpipe too far, this will also cause the same problem. To fix it just pull it out to within about 6 inches of the end of the drainpipe.

first things first,
is it drsining the water out before it starts to spin
next check the motor pully area,
if all this id fine
its your transmission
