Fex831 dryer timer doesn't advance...what will i need to fix this myself?
Good Morning Patrick, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
Let's try resetting your dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your appliance on. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, and based on the symptoms you are describing, you may have a communication error with the control board, the timer itself may not be operating correctly or a potential wiring failure. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, you may wish to reach out to an appliance expert who is best equipped to pinpoint the exact problem, which can often save you funds and a headache.

Hello Tuomas, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
Based on the video you have provided, it shows that
your laundry center is experiencing one or two things, an issue with the water
valve or a faulty timer. I
am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore
your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a
qualified service technician on the manufacturer website. I hope
this information helps to some degree.
Best regards!

Hello Julien, thank you for your
inquiry!
Based on the symptoms you are
describing it sounds like your laundry center is experiencing an issue with the
power supply. Either the power supply is not connected correctly or it's an
internal power supply issue within the unit. Regrettably,
this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a
professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that
may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified service
provider through the manufacturer website.

Will not spin as if it's locked up
A top load washing machine has the old fashioned transmission/agitator. They can fail because of so many gears inside. If it seems locked up it likely is. Time to get a new transmission.

Good Afternoon Carlos, thank you for your post!
Based on the symptoms you are describing it sounds like

has a failed motor. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly

Hello Janet, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
From what you have described it sounds like you either have
a problem with the belt, front (and/or rear) bearing, or a loose connection
with the motor or drum. I recommend contacting a professional to accurately
diagnose the issue, the part(s) may have to be replaced depending if they are
worn, damaged or loose. You can often locate a qualified tech through the
manufacturer website.

Good Morning Beth, thank you for allowing me to assist you.
Often this occurs because the washer cannot properly drain
and dispose of the water and detergent solution. More than likely the drainage
hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the appliance may
possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump,
timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a
number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a
professional to properly diagnose and repair your appliance. I home this
information helps in a small way.

Good Morning Jeff, thank you for your inquiry!
Frist, confirm that the unit is properly load, with not too
little or too much clothing. Is the unit
making a squeaky noise? If so you may either have a problem with the belt,
front (and/or rear) bearing, shock absorbers or a loose connection with the inner
and outer tub. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I recommend contacting a professional to
accurately diagnose the issue, the part(s) may have to be replaced depending if
they are worn, damaged or loose. You can often locate a qualified tech through

Hi Heather, thank you for your question!
Generally speaking, there are several thermal fuses that may
have opened if the temperature inside the unit rises too high. Typically, an
open thermal fuse is a result of restricted exhaust vent. I suggest cleaning
the vent and to confirmed that it is completely clear from any debris, dust,
etc. Along with the thermal fuses, the
heater could be in the open position. In this case, you may wish to reach out
to an appliance expert who is the best equipped to pinpoint the exact problem,
which can often save you funds and a headache. I hope this information helps to
some degree.
