Try the factory reset option, If you looke around where the docking connector is on the bottom you should see a tiny hole that you will be able to push a pin into. This will activate the hard reset option and hopefully will bring your TomTom back to life.

you will need an updated post code file that allows 7 digit post codes (if your in the uk)
http://www.tomtom.com/updates/great_britainpostal_all.zip
Just download that file then extract the files ,plug in your tomtom to your pc, open up the tomtom device in my computer(XP) or computer(Vista/Windows 7) and copy the extracted files into the zip folder, then unplug the device and you will be able to enter full postcodes
I don't have signal
hello there firstly there are two solutions for this problem ,reset the receiver ,and calibrate it ,get an external antenna this might just fix the problem goodluck
Unit is one year old. Worked fine this morning,
try this originally posted by gt3rs i just did it and it worked for me
Here is a solution that worked in my case (constant reboots after voice select)
- Plug your tomtom into your PC.
- Run TomTom Home
- Select the option to run your TomTom through your PC (TT Home)
- You should be greated with the select language screen
- Then simply select language etc.
- When you get to the voice selection: select a voice (here TTHome should freeze) <- also strangely enough notice the cancel button doesn't on the screen (as it does when doing this on the device)
- Don't panic TT Home should start working again in a few seconds
- Disconnect your TomTom and that should have solved the problem, the normal map screen should show up upon starting up your TomTom
This solved the issue for me, hope it does for you good luck!
