OVEN CONTROLS AND OVEN DONT WORK. RANGE TOP WORKS FINE.
Hello,We're having the same problem. Oven light works, but plug by oven light switch does not. I changed the screw in fuse (15 Amp) in the oven, although it was blown, it didn't fix the problem.I will be checking the double breaker on the electric panel tonight, making sure it's getting the full 220v, and if that is good, I will be looking at checking and replacing the clock.Hope this helps.

How do you replace a burner switch on a Frigedaire Glasstop Stove
Hello,
The repair on this stove will be relatively easy then. All you are going to have to do is pull out the stove from the wall and remove the upper part of the back panel where the burner switches are.
Remove the knob and take out the screws that hold the switch to that front panel. Then from there just match up the wires to the new switch off the old one.
This repair will turn out to be pretty cut and dry for you. If you have anymore questions please ask.
Thanks Again,
Bill

Dual element burner on glasstop range...inner element stays on
It is the burner control (behind the knob). The triac in the control has failed. $50 item, 10 minute change. Just make note which wire goes to which terminal.
I doubt that it is the control board, as the board has little to do with the stove top, but rather controls the display and the oven temperature/feedback monitoring.
Hope this helps.

Stove top and oven will not heat
first check your voltage, and the pigtail connections at the stove, then check your elements inside the oven something has shorted

Oven error code keeps coming on
this could be as simple as needing a new oven temerature sensor, or you could need a new board, i would try replacing the sensor first....it is in the oven, towards the top, about4-6 inches long. you will probably have to take the back off to disconnect the wires...unplug the oven first

Burner will not turn off
You'll need to replace the burner switch. This happens when the contacts become fused together.

Exposed wires
If the critter chewed through the range cord insulation (from the outlet in the kitchen to the stove) you can get a replacement at most home centers or a well-stocked hardware store. The connections are made to screw terminals under a cover behind the stove. Take the old one along and match it to the new one. Be sure to tighten the screw terminals very securely when you put on the new one. (Obviously, you unplug the stove before doing any work.)
If the critter has chewed through the electric supply line to the stove outlet, call a licensed electrician to replace the damaged portion. You need to have the work done by properly licensed people to keep your insurance company happy, and often to stay legal with local codes as well.

Problem with oven
In order for the element to stay on when the control is turned off either the control has shorted or the contact that the control switch controls has shorted, if the the light goes off as usual it is most likely the contacts in the elements relay that have welded themselves in the closed position but both the switch and relay will need to be tested.
