The 8GB is most likely what is called a SDHC or "Secure Digital High Capacity" It will not work in system that do not show they can read the SDHC drives, the 2GB is not SDHC

According to the Pioneer
FAQ for this item :
"You can reset all models of DVD Players with the following method:
1) Switch the player into standby and empty the disc tray.
2) Using the front panel buttons, hold down the STOP button and press
STANDBY/ON to switch the player back on."

That means the color system on that player is PAL.
Set ur TV to auto system or PAL system if it has that multi system!

Hi you need a special remote control.I bought this dvd player and the seller had a remote control different than the one you get with the dvd.And he pressed 4 buttons on it and it opened the region

hi! try this one i hope it will work on your unit.
Remove any disc in the tray, Press the SETUP on the remote control. Move over
to GENERAL using the arrow keys; Select BASIC, Press DISPLAY - this will display
your region and firmware version. Press CONDITION/MEMORY (nothing is
displayed or changed on the screen). Press the REGION # required (i.e. 2 for
Region 2 etc). Press MENU to store.

hi! try this two steps i hope it will work on your unit.
Turn on with no disc in. On the remote control, press "SETUP". Select
"GENERAL" (certify that the "SETUP" is on "BASIC". Press "DISPLAY". Press
"CONDITION". Choose region code and quit "SETUP".

go to pioneer to get the firmware upgrade. if it has ethernet connect it to web search for update.

would need the model number of pioneer. But generally this error on most pioneer refers to a dirty disk, scratched disk or dirt on the lens inside the player. try using lens cleaner and clean all your disks. Car scratch remover such as t-cut is good for removing scratches off disks.
