Can I get rid of the date from my pictures?

To turn on or off the Date and Time stamp features, push the menu button. It's the small silver button on the back panel directly beneath the printed letter M, and just above the little green LED. This opens the menu. Now, press the right side of the ring shaped control button, where the little lightning arrow is. This will scroll through the different menu categories. Keep scrolling until you get to the one at the far right of the screen. It is a blue icon that looks like an envelope and a clock. This will bring up the menu for toggling the Date and Time stamp. Use the top and bottom of the ring to select the setting you want, and press the button in the middle of the ring, marked SET DISP, to select it. Then press the menu button again to get out of the menu and return to taking pictures.

I need to find a usb cable for a polaroid i836

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Even if you have to buy a card reader, one won't cost you any more than a USB cable.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How can i download pics without the software disc

The easiest way to transfer the pictures onto your computer is to remove the memory card and plug it into a card reader (either built in or a USB card reader if you have one). If not, you can connect your camera to your computer by the USB cable.

Once you plug the camera or the card in, Windows will usually ask you if you want to import the images. You can do that or import them manually by opening up the SD card or camera in my computer and dragging the files to the folder you want to store them in.

Another option would be to get an external BluRay/DVD/CD drive and plug it into your USB for the disc. Depending on the features you need, they can be pretty inexpensive.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Camera is Poloroid t831, turn

Hi,

This is a common problem with these sets. There could be a couple of possibilities - either the firmare has gone bad and needs re-flashing or LCD screen is at fault. There are situations when i see a loose cable from mainboard or some small circuitry issue. Unfortunately, all these would need repair. You could try to clean the battery connectors and make sure that the battery is fine.If you are using any memory card, try to pull it out and see, if the camera responds to it.

However, if the above few tricks might not work, then you need to take a wise decision. Any repair ( even a firmware re-flashing ) would cost $50 - $100 or so and you could get a new camera for the same price. I know it's a tough call. This is not uncommon, however unfortunate.

I wish i could have a simple solution.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

The screen is cracked. Im

?The connector on the ribbon cable has a lock on it., Just use a small screwdriver and gently pry it up, it will pivot an release the ribbon cable so you can replace the screen. Be sure and lock it back when you put in the new screen.

The LCD screen on my i830 does not show the image

No, the batteries are not the problem. I'm afraid it sounds like a fault that requires service, but it may not be economic to fix it unless it is still in warranty.

Have had the camera about

This is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the Polaroid service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault.

If the link doesn't work then cut and paste the following address into your browser:-

Good luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you.
