My a/c unit will start but after a few minutes it

It may have a low charge. A/C units have a safety that's called a low pressure control. When the unit runs the compressor will **** down the gas pressure and cause it to shut off. After time the system will balance out and the pressure on the low side will go back up. This will cause the compressor to come back on. The other thing that comes to mind is the compressor motor might be shutting off on overload and turning back on after it cools. These are first things I would look at. Always make sure your air filter is clean.

Compressor does not run

Hi, if you are energizing the contacts on the contactor, and the compressor runs, the thermostat is faulty. This is what energizes the contactor coil that you have. You need to check to see if you have voltage to the coil on the contactor. You need to replace the stat asap.
Sincerely,

Freezing up have to manuely cycle compressor

3 things could be the cause,
1 low on freon,
2blockage in the metering device
3 blockage in the air flow
The only one of the above that can be checked without special tool is the blockage in air flow. Check the coils on the inside of the unit to make sure they are clean and dirt free. Now do the same to the outer coil. If the coils look in good shape then you will need to contact an a/c tech for checks on the first two problems.

Refrigeration side of heat pump won't come on

Hello,
The green light is normally flashing and steady flash... if it is flashing quickly a number of times and then hesitates it may be flashing a code for the problem.
To me if your just having problems cooling then you most likely have a problem with the reversing valve. The problem could be mechanical where the valve is "stuck" in the heating position or it could be electrical where the valve is not being told electrically to switch to the cooling position. If it is an electrical problem, it could be a problem with the thermostat or it could be a problem in the condenser.
Trouble shooting this will take someone experianced in diagnosing heatpumps and it would be very hard to do from my chair with out getting my hands physically on your unit. Give me a meter with me at your unit and I could tell you in a few minutes what is happening...

RVP international 8000 caravan airconditioner

When you switch from fan only, to cool, do you hear any difference in sound of the AC unit, with temperature down and calling for cool? (like a deep moaning or similar) As far as recharging goes, they are a closed system, so if low on freon, must have a leak.

Fan blad to condensor

Air flows from the inside through the air filter and into the AC unit. The evaporator coil "cools" the air and the blower pushes the air back into the area to be cooled.

Hope this helps and good luck! :-)

R.v. coleman mack furnace

Try calling a local appliance repair or HVAC/refrigeration contractor.

A mechanical refrigeration contractor would have a better chance of having or being able to get replacement parts faster. But you have to get someone with an HVAC knowledge to look at it.

While the R.V. mechanics may be good at simple repairs or general knowledge, you need a trained eye to look at this issue here.

I would suggest to have a tech diagnose the problem and quote to repair. If the quote sounds reasonable, then go for it (your paying for expertise and a warranty). If not, then you at least have an idea of where the problem lies and what steps needs to take place to try to get it fixed.

My fan won't turn on. I can hear the compressor

What you have is either a bad capacitor for the fan or a bad fan motor. I would suspect the capictor firtsly then the fan motor. Capacitor is round or oval has 2 to 4 prongs on it and the brown wires from the fan motor connect to it. Good luck on repairs

Leaks where it sets on roof how does it bolt to

There is a bolt on each corner that tighten from the inside. You will see them when you remove the inside cover. There should be foam weather stripping around the opening that the unit sits on and then it's tightened up.
