I have bought 2 Sony A828 8gb walkmans and they wont turn on

I had a similar problem, mine wouldn’t turn on unless I plugged it in the computer and then it still wouldn’t work!
I found this on Sony’s trouble shooter -
Cause:
Battery is 100% discharged. Therefore, PC's USB with 5V/500mA set up has not enough power to start up the charging process because loading current is greater than the set up, therefore USB is disabled immediately due to sudden current load.
Remedy:
Battery must not be discharged 100%
If it happens then the supplied AC adaptor must be used firstly because it is providing 5V/800mA power. After a couple of minutes the unit can be connected to PC without problem then it can continue the charging during file transfer, etc.
So I bought a USB adapter charger! Plugged it in and now it is working!

you should hit the reset button and that should do the trick and always make sure it's charged

Video download

After trying everything imaginable I found a solution! Just send all of your videos to the "My Videos" folder. Then select the ones you want opn your Mp3, and press "move this file" then plug in your Mp3 player and select the folder with its picture next to it and move it to the VIDEO subfolder. Then voila! its on. (You need to convert the videos to MP4 format beforehand)

Sony Shake 6D in Protect E03. I have tested the output voltage and seems nominal from the output of the Smps however bloated Caps can bee seen from the output stage. Any idea? EO3 is a power supply defect but all voltage are present in the smps board. Beside the negative rail because I have an Analog meter which kicks reverse if probes are inserted. Maybe someone could lend a hand in reading the schematic which causes the caps to bloat. They are connected to 2 mosfets. The unit by the way turns on when Cold reset. But protects after some minutes.

I have these Sony ss-ec70 speakers. There's four wires coming out of each one. Red and black together and white and blue. Please help. I just would like to know why they are like this and how to hook them up without crossing poles. Thankyou

That may be a non factory modification. Get a small battery and take one pair of those wires and connect to the battery with you fingers on the stripped end of the wires. Listen for scratchy sound and the front and then try the other pair of wires. This will give you an idea on that is going on inside the speaker. Short of using special equipment or opening the speaker enclosure, there is no easy way to tell.
